Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
DPA posts moved to the DPA thread.
I dropped to 89% in my category. My first year in ATL I moved up to 86% on the 767, and it's been nothing but backwards since then.
You know what's weird, I held a line on ATL 7ER 3 months out of training as a new hire. Not NYC, but ATL.
Who am I kidding, I've only been here 4 years, I'm still a new hire. And an *******.
But one thing I found interesting - there were 362 surpluses on the last bid and 362 vacancies. And that came out to be 986 awards of which 482 were not by choice with 662 training events were created.
So it was a ratio of 1 MD/VD to 1.8 training events and 1 MD/VD/AE posted to 2.7 awards. Give or take.

I was the plug on the 88B in ATL and after this conversion I'll be 90% on bigger better equipment(7ERB) in NY. And I get a raise! "What a Company!"- in my best Yakov Smirnoff impersonation which isn't really that good. Kinda like Harrison Ford's horrible Russian accent in K12 The Widowmaker.
Okay. [/WHINE] I just had to get that off my chest. Today marks the 22nd anniversary of when I was hired at TWA. I still absolutely love this job, but the career SUCKS!

Hey why do they build trips like a 7 day JFK-ACC-JFK with a 102 hour layover? Is it a marketing thing? Limited service by the 7er? Why have a 102 hour layover?
or play in those warm springs
just like your buddy FTB.
You may not be able to read the tattoo across my stomach but it says: "Do not operate weather radar in a hangar or within 50 feet of fueling operations or fuel spills."
Yeah, it really stinks for a lot of us. 4 years ago, I was moving up as a junior Captain... adding more people below me with each AE. I was an ATL M88A with 34 below me in the category. Today, I'm displaced out of MEM. Can't even hold ATL M88A anymore. I have no idea what's going to happen when they displace the 100 or so Captains senior to me in MSP DC9A and DTW DC9A. I guess if I can't hold NYC M88A at that point, it's back to the right seat and another major setback in a career full of major setbacks.
