There will be combined AEs sooner then we think - as difficult as is it to forecast churn, the company wishes to have an idea of the pilot movement...possible training before SOC.

Talked to a 73N Capt being displaced to 7ER FO who was also a retired O-6 who said he is taking the Early Out too. Seems to make a little more sense for a guy who has a mil retirement (especially a good O-6 retirement) including medical (Tricare) to make the jump. He says he started at Delta when he was 47 and that it is time for him to take advantage of "other opportunities."

In the past ACL has talked about a 12 month conversion AE the company can use.
The next AE could easily be a combined one with training dates TBA for those who's new positions would take them across company lines. Those who were staying on their pre-merged side or Compassbound/streetside could then be taken care of immediately.
I would imagine there is pay protection language to take care of training out of senoirity which would probably occur.

TRUE. Add CPZ workrules to the buzz kill which they've said leave a lot to be desired.
But let me rephrase because I posted in haste, it looks like a lot of fun to fly that jet. It'd be a heck of a lot more fun to go to work if CPZ was mainline, mainline rates, mainline rules, everyone is happy and nobody was knocked out of their seats.

As we sit down with management to work out the details of pre/post SOC bidding I sure do wish we'd negotiate one list.

So would it be so we could minimize the amount of guys flying by having them in training? And in your opinion(which is all I expect, not accountability ) if this were agreed to are we still looking at 150 furloughs, 500 furloughs, 0 furloughs??
Thanks.

Does anyone know how many pilots are actually eligible for the PRIP?
I've heard figures upwards of 9,000+ pilots who a eligible, but that seems like a high figure to me.
Do you think the company will take into consideration the freshly announced additional capacity cuts when determining how many early outs to accept?

Good post. That is why some of us did everything in our power to get Compass on the list. On the other side of the coin, who wants to be off the property if we merge with another carrier? That is a sure staple at the end of the combined list for Delta pilots.

IN RE the bold portion, if one is furloughed, isn't one still on the Delta seniority list? If one flows to CPZ, is he off the Delta list? Would they actually merge or acquire someone else with guys on the street?
