[QUOTE=Bill Lumberg;1 Now we make a lot more than that per year (paid off $2 billion in debt last year, also made $952 million in bag fees) and we are being told by upper midwest LEC guys not to expect SWA type wages. (one of them was voted out of office, HA HA) This has to change.

As far as Dalpa goes or the DPA, I just want to get what WE DESERVE. Dalpa has the first shot at it. If they do well, I bet the DPA drive will stop in it's tracks until the next foul up, like age 70 retirements. If Dalpa doesn't do well and produces us a lame TA with lame excuses, then I bet the DPA will soar, and Dalpa could get voted out and even if it takes longer, the threat of another merger will push management to deal, and the DPA will get it for us. The rumor out there is that someone way high up said we need about 33% of the domestic industry to be incharge of the fares and somewhat "bullet proof". Right now we are at 28%. That means possible merger approaching. That is leverage. If Dalpa does well, then great. If not, they are GONE.[/QUOTE]

Bill, when did you hear the upper midwest LEC chairman say we could not expect SWA wages?

Agreed. Absolutely astounding.

From the MEC published notes: Unable to Commute Policy – The last revision of the policy has placed policy execution back with the Chief Pilots, allowing them to handle occurrences with discretion at the base level. Reports have been that the program has been working as intended.

So has the "rare occurrences" been eliminated?

Yeah I know. This is one of the biggest financial issues thats been brewing for a very long time now that no one wants to talk about. Just like real estate was AAA rated up until the second it collapsed (to the mainstreamers with their heads in the sand...there were volumes of warnings that were laughed at and ignored of course) this too will catch us by suprise even though we've seen it coming for generations.

How does rerunning them change the training waterfall? Unless you mean tinkering with the actual tenative schedules with the upcoming and possibly overlapping bids that will occur within the 365 day conversion of this one (i.e. closing the other 2 DC9 bases and whatever else they intend on doing).

Other than that, how does rerunning it change anything?
