Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Stupid question ... I completed OE during the first two weeks of the month. Scheduling now has a reserve line built for me for the last two weeks. The LCA suggested that I call scheduling and ask them to move my X and * days around since I didn't bid what they gave me. Do I have a leg to stand on?
If you just want to move your X days, call scheduling, but what I have done and it works very well, is to call the OE scheduler for your category and have them do it. It has worked every time. Of course I have done it before my IOE signoff was inputted in to the computer.

You can do two things. A Blank line which will give you pro ratta credit for the training time, and then no credit for the rest of the month. With this second part of the month, you WS as much as you want.

Then there is this!
"On the West Coast, our existing partnership with Alaska Airlines allows us to serve passengers in the northwest region of the U.S. Today, Alaska puts more passengers onto our network than we put onto theirs. This enables us to serve many markets more successfully than we could without this codeshare. An expansion of the Alaska Codeshare Agreement would allow us to maintain a significant network presence in the northwest and along the West Coast, while fully utilizing our aircraft in the most productive manner possible across our domestic network.
The bottom line is that our competitors will continue to have far more liberal Scope agreements than what we’ve proposed. We are creating a new Scope paradigm that enables us to strengthen our network, increase opportunities and security for pilots, and out-compete other airlines."
They admit to the who benefits whom at least. I wonder if the boys in Atlanta are reading this as well? Maybe faster to upgrade if I apply at ALK?

and w/ regard to the AA happenings, I wish ALPA; and more importantly DAL MEC, would either:
1. take out full page ad in the Dallas Morning News, the AJC and the WSJ; declaring our solidarity w/ the APA and call out AA mgmt for ridiculous negotiating practices.
or.
2. start organizing informational picketing on behalf of the AA guys.
if their contract goes the way its headed right now....how much of a chance do you think ours really has?

It doesn't explain it very well on the HELP screen, but this is how you do it:
Insert an 'i' as the first letter of the base, for the line you are trying to bump down. If you want more than one blank space, enter 'i#' as the first two characters of the base, where # = the number of new spaces you want.
For example, you want to insert a new line above your third pref which is ATL 777 A. You would input iTL 777 A, and then hit enter. It would bump everything down one line, and leave you a blank space to enter a new preference. If you want 3 new blanks above ATL 777 A, then you would enter i3L 777 A and hit enter.
I don't think it works if you delete all of ATL and just put 'i' or 'i3', etc. You have to overwrite the current base info or you will get the error msg you received.
Good luck

It sounds to me like they are getting their bargaining position ready for CH11. Doing it now allows them to make the case that they needed pre ch11 but those pesky pilots were too stubborn. Not that the judge will not see though it. Problem is they will probably cave to save their pensions, and then they will be dumped in CH11. Wash, rinse, repeat.
If any of this happens; scope sales, we will be fighting from the low ground in Section 6.
