I'll stick with the Quack attack tho the 2 year old made me go to bed with 6 minutes to go in the 4rth. I made him sleep in his Duck warm ups.
Was called already (more than 12hrs prior to trip) and informed. Also told I am subject to 23G5. So my question is:
If they reassign anything to me by duty in of my original trip (or even earlier like 12 hrs prior) what are my obligations? Am I on resv the foot print of my trip or only a time frame like in 23K (must be assigned within first 6 hrs or else released)
Thanks

If they haven't given anything within 12 hours, you are off. They also can not assign you anything that starts prior to the report of your original pairing.
As an example, if you get a one day trip on "A" day, (unless you are rerouted) you are done and have no other standby obligation.
Or sitting in some FL panhandle hotel, mulling through the ACP postings regarding the last AE, wondering if staying in ATL will be an option in the next year, or if said pilot should look forward to long walks in Jackson Heights, and if sitting reserve on the ER in NYC would be better than holding a line on the 88!

Some years ago I heard a story that one of our NYC 'commuters' bought a big power boat and kept it at a slip somewhere in the NYC area, used that for his crash pad.
When I was a new hire, that was my Plan A, get a big sailboat and fly out of MIA in the winter, BOS in the summer, live on the boat year round, sailing it up and down the coast with the seasons. "follow the sun"
Oh yeah, and I was Never going to get married, can you imagine a wife ever going for that lifestyle?
26 years later, I've got a wife and 4 kids who are bleeding my checking account dry every month, and the only boat I can afford is a 16' catamaran, but at least it's parked on a lake in my back yard.
In about 15 minutes I'll be out sailing...that's why I commute to ATL instead of living in PTC. Yeah, commuting sucks, but I'll be on the water in 15 minutes. There are a bunch of float planes out there right now doing splash and go's. Maybe I can score a ride.
So much for plan A.

I'm trying to Opt In in the Crew Notification system. However, I am unable to select the provider and time zone for my cell phone. I can select the list, but when I select the individual carrier or time zone, it doesn't populate. Thus, the system will not let me use that number.
Anyone else have similar problems? I used both IE and Firefox and both browsers did the same thing.
