In the 26 May LCA meeting it was again put out that no furloughs are planned unless a major event like SARS occurred. The info there was that we will be over about 1000 pilots this winter but will be staffed correctly for the summer of 10. The ER program is not expected to have any real impact on a furlough decision one way or another.

This is a graph....not really a "scope report card", but it shows the percentage of lift provided by regional airlines for each of the majors listed.

HOW DO DAL PILOTS INTEND ON "RESTORING LOSSES" WHEN THE CONTRACT CURRENTLY IN FORCE BARELY CONTROLS 1/3 OF DAL FLIGHTS????

WHAT KIND OF LEVERAGE DO WE THINK WE HAVE LEFT????

How much more can be given away in scope modifications when we have already given away more flying to subcontractors than AA, CO, OR UA?????
Note that while departure percentage dropped for DAL RJ lift, the seat percentage grew.....Meaning BIGGER RJ's instead of little ones. We are under attack like we've never seen before and the LEC/MEC members just don't seem to get it yet......

Now this is just funny!

Now that Delta is with Northwest are they going to allow other "brothers and sisters" pilots from other airlines to ride in their vans?

Only if they are wearing their hats.

That being said, we ride with other airlines all the time in the van. Heck, I remember riding with Delta crews in my previous job years ago. Must be some old rumor that ran wild.

That's enough unity for now, I'm going to go put on my uniform and admire myself in the mirror.

Normally they have their flight attendants tell you there is not room on the van. Real men they are. It was the most fun rides I ever had on a hotel van and still is.

Sure, I would more than welcome some fellow pilots. I can't speak for the "more experienced" guys though.

Damn I'm fired up.

The FA's speak for themselves without asking us 99% of the time... if you really want to squeeze in with 6 300 pound cougars, feel free to (you're more man than I)!

Joking aside, I've never seen a crew get turned away. Ever.

I've never seen a crew turned away either. But where's the joke?
