Maybe a cab service from my house so I don't have to make the 30 minute drive back and forth.
Free hotel room in base once in a while for a night on the town with the spouse, with per diem of course
Special crew room for non-commuters so commuters don't use up all the chairs sleeping from their commute.

But seriously, there are people at this airline who don't commute. I imagine you're frustrated but by asking for special treatment, you're taking stuff away from those who live in base.
You sound a lot like a SWAPA pilot with this kind of argument.

The last 10 years' history has nothing to do with what we are facing early next year. There's a new process in place, and an ALPA president that STILL believes that RJ's are good for Delta. Let's talk about our immediate future.

Conflict of interest isn't a straw man. There's an actual definition for it. You can look it up. There is no question that an actual textbook conflict of interest exists with ALPA's current structure. Covering your eyes and hoping we won't be represented the way the TWA pilots were represented won't advance the careers of Delta pilots either Bar.

No idea where that cheap shot came from. I've never rallied against any pilot except a scab. Never. I only rally for the concept of pilots representing themselves and using their own dues money to represent them. How you can characterize that as rallying the troops against our brothers is amazing.

That's pretty funny right there.

As you should know by now, I don't blame anyone for our current situation except us. I'm only trying to get people to see the clear evidence that is right before their eyes. But words like brotherhood and unity are powerful and blinding rhetorical tools.

Guess we will test the theory that the AF/KLM JV really helps us, because it was taking on water before the sovereign debt default in Europe becoming "real."

They are doing everything in their power to minimize/stop that. It was the driving force behind your 5 am reports for a domestic trip in LGA. I used to layo there at least four times a month, no a NYC layo is an oddity.

Puhleeez. Carmen, or whatever that rotation building software is that decides what airplane/crew/whatever does what, and it doesn't care one wit about where crews layover. This crap hasn't changed in 20 years, and it isn't gonna change anytime in the next 20 either.. unless it happens to be a good deal layover for ATL crews...

Carl, That new process was in place before our JPWA. We re wrote the scope sections of two of ALPA's largest carriers who subcontract FAR more ALPA represented flying than any other carrier. What effect did this alleged "conflict of interest" have with our negotiations then?

... exactly. Tim's trying to make something out of fighting last decade's battle. He fails to understand what got him furloughed was a lack of unity. If we had insisted on those RJ drivers having seniority numbers NOBODY would have been furloughed.

I want to meet and confer and work with our brothers to fix our profession. They are not my enemy.
