Also, from a good source: Its really 130 739s.

Southwest Airlines is a great example of that.

There are no 73N displacements planned (although I expect significant pin action in Atlanta). In fact, we are adding a few to the category in anticipation of the super stretch double skid plate version. They bulk the A position first to avoid green on green and high mins problems.

Hopefully they'll not process as many forced displacements in the B position. That's one of the real wild cards in these AE's. I can never tell how many extra they will carry in category.

Likely true if the World doesn't sink. Italy's debt will be carrying rates over 10% by the time we get up. Han Seng is down 5% as I write this. Banks down 6% in Hong Kong trading. I'm not betting on anything right now. This is going to kick AZ's teeth out and really hurt Air France.

Guess we will test the theory that the AF/KLM JV really helps us, because it was taking on water before the sovereign debt default in Europe becoming "real."

I had a LCA on my J/S who also indicated we were going to confirm the 30 options for firm orders, before the first 739-900ER was on the property. That would make it "soon".....

Yep, but they want them all to be replacements and as a result net neutral.

Yep, AF has been targeting the leisure market and we the business traveler. If the Euro Zone takes any more hits, AF will be begging us to pull capacity to they can keep those 380's flying.

Are you crazy? We have a fairly good sized 767/Maddog/737 domicile in NY, and the Good Lawd hisself only knows how many crews lay over there every night. You think this is gonna be any different?

Carl;
SWA touts that but talk to the pilots that work directly with their management. Times are changing. Also their contract is designed to throw money at greedy pilots. Money covers many of the holes in their deal.

There is no doubt that it is a good company, but that is because they trow money at people to work their tails off. Ask the FA's how well they are paid. I know a few that are less than joyed at the whole SWA experience.

They have matured to the point that they are going to be another airline like everyone else.
