It reminds me of that commercial where the Internet talks to that guy and says "you have reached the end of the Internet, you have seen everything, thank you good bye." his wife stands in the background as he sits there perplexed, but she should have been screaming "you pervert!!!"

I don't think I can explain it to your satisfaction.

Huh, never thought, "if we get an ACARS message updating the seat count below 80 knots..."

I'm guessing that's what was happening and I'd go medieval on PNS ops if that was the case and they just kept sending updates after updates.

I kind of agree. I like posting Auburn cheerleading pics but I'm an Auburn homer.

I don't think Jesse's pic was bad and he had a funny line to it but it just needed more airline related material such as a: "you fly the 737-900? Well, in that case, let me tie this back up..."

But I get your point and some of have really been over the top and just millimeters from being straight porn and not to mention pointless because sometimes you can work a pic into a discussion and it be funny but just to repost a pic like we need pin ups is excessive and not amusing.

Aim to tease not to please as the Glee cheerleaders say.

But to balance it all out between sexy and not sexy, I present...

I think we have reached the end of the internet.

Boeing is the lessor. I believe 86 of the 88 are.

Anyways, here is the thing. 20 717s "disappeared" from the sale or lease section of Boeing.com right as the rumor hit legit news sources that we were ordering 100 739s.

Who Took The 717's Boeing Was Offering? — Civil Aviation Forum | Airliners.net

Thus bolstering, not starting but bolstering rumors (from a year before when SWA announced FL merger), of 717s to DAL. If rumor is true it could be as much of 106 717s. Further bolstering the rumor is SWA's "we don't want 717s anymore but we'll keep them if we can't get rid of them" headlines - which sounds like negotiating in public a bit.

While we do have a lot of work to do and a lot of improvements to make, there are a lot of great people who work here, which makes this a great place to be. I'll leave it at that.
I have to second that sentiment. Mid trip I get a phone call about my 10 y/o in the hospital and my wife is doing what she can to hold down the fort until I can get home. My Captain overheard my conversation and new I needed to leave. He called the duty pilot and a deadheading pilot took my last leg to PHL and then next flight home already had me booked in the JS (flt was full) I had no less than 4 to 5 phone calls from DL asking if there was anything I needed and if any family members needed to be with us just ask and they would set it up. Upon arrival I had three more messages from my CP, LAX FOM and the duty pilot making sure all was good. I too was taken by surprise at the level of compassion and understanding by everyone involved. ALl worked out fine and it was made easier by a family of people who stepped in when my family and I needed it most.

Now when I hear people talk about how the company can careless, I try to share my story but it is not appropriate in all cases. The anonymous machine in ATL my seem lacking at times but the people on the other end are good and do care and if they needed my help I would do whatever I could to help.
