Karma's a real biatch, and we don't need any more negative vibes coming back to us. We've got too much on our plate already.

Agreed, I was just spouting, not wishing.

Because Tim is ALPA?

On a serious note... if DPA replaces ALPA, does Moak stay at ALPA Nat'l or does he become an ALPA orphan?

A cursory look at used Malibu's shows sales prices of anywhere from about $500,000 up to almost $1 million! I don't think a 70% (C2K+COLA) pay increase would get me anywhere near the ballpark of being able to afford that. Would love to have one, though. Maybe I'll win the lottery. Nah, that requires buying lottery tickets. DC-9's might be pretty cheap (but not less than a Malibu), but I couldn't even pay the gas bill on a DC-9!

Bidding back to the 88? Who knows where I'll end up? My relative seniority as a Captain has done nothing but slide backwards since the merger. I might be back on the 88 as an F/O!

I say NO interim mergers. Agreements. Pwa's of ANY kind, until C12 is in the bag. I have moved backwards since this merger as have ALL of my W2's and I'm sick of it.
I couldn't agree more. My younger brother has an interview with Alaska next week. I am supporting him 100% and told him that is the place to be right now. That said, I can see a situation where if hired he quickly moves to 20% up the Alaska list (they are said to be hiring 300 people.....lots of planes coming online...and have a seniority list of less than 1500). I am 10% at Delta.

I will be happy for my brother but I am getting tired of the backward slide. I feel for the guys in L.A. Somethings gotta give. I say no more Delta mergers until pay and work rules are restored to what they were pre BK and Delta has hired some more pilots.

Yeah, and we all know how well that concept works in the US Congress. You are gonna have to do a lot better than this to convince me to sign a card Carl. That and Caplinger needs to come out with a statement that there will be no challenge to the seniority list... ever. Sorry, but I do not trust him in this regard especially since he hired the clown from USAPA. So it's very simple... have make a public statement to that effect, and I sign a card.

Unless you are SWAPA and SWA... there it can be used just fine.

I think time will tell but I'm not sure the future will be as canyon-blue as envisioned by the aforementioned groups...
