I swear it will all make sense after the first week or so...

Clamp;

Clarify for me that fifi training is doable with a modicum of effort for someone who has just flown boeing the entire airline career. I had considered the big bus or the 765 because I should never have to miss octoberfest on the company dime.

Man I hope so.......start my first Busboy checkout on Dec 18th.

So far I'm impressed with how straight forward the systems are compared to a Boeing. Plus, how nice the systems are displayed on the EICAS (or what ever the Bus calls it, I'm still learning). One of my exBoeing friends said he had a hard time getting away from "happy fingers" in the box since there is no execute light and you can really work yourself into a hole in a hurry

Looking forward to getting started now that I've done systems course. I "almost" passed the eSV with just the home study stick so one more pass through the stick and a couple of hours with the LOD should do it (all for free of course)

Default reserve award

hey guys,

I got a reserve line in Nov, and the only thing I bid for was the 10th off. I didn't get it, but 3 guys junior to me did. Is this worth a call to anyone in particular ?

Thanks in advance.....

Thanks, will remember that for the future...doesn't really matter for NOV since I'll be in MD-88 training all month.

So FTB & 80ktsClamp are going 88=> Airbus, and I'm doing the reverse, Airbus=>88.

Just finished the CBT's, seems like a couple extra switch hits to do the same thing, no fly-by-wire, 2 IR's vice 3 with GPS, and a mag compass behind my cranium, but other than that, pretty much the same.

Funny. I forgot to bid. I have a reserve line wih the 24th off and all Saturdays and Sundays off. I'm going to forget to bid more often. I could not have asked for a better schedule.

When I first got on the 88 14 years ago, someone told me the following:

On the 767, you press one button and it does three things. On the 88, you press three buttons and it does one thing.

Hey, I've been off the 88 for almost 2 years now (probably will be going back soon). But I've got 8,000 hours on the airplane. A few years ago when I was flying with a lot of new hires on the 88, I wrote a "tips and tricks" document. It's nothing earth shaking... just some helpful tips and a few gotchas to avoid, mainly line operational kind of stuff. Anyway, if you want it PM me and I can email it to you. Disclaimer: Since I've been off the airplane now for a while, I take no responsibility for anything in that document that might be in conflict with something that's changed since I left.

HA HA! That's funny.

Hey Elvis, I'm staying on the 88 until my life on the 320 would be worth the jump over. I like the 320's trips better.

But I do love my 88. With more 90s coming and if trips really improve then I may not move.
