-10 Man points for not knowing how to resize a picture.

Mods, can we make a new rule? No over sized pics?

The pilot group(s) had a certain amount of leverage to go along with the merger. That is what resulted in the zero% pay increase (COLA is not a raise).

Now perhaps it would have come in handy to tell our benevolent secret keepers about the holes in the RAH agreement or how the company intended to abuse the daylights out of the AK code share. Those things would have been useful to know.

Spot on. Winner. And please everyone, it is not a pay increase until we are back at the level = to C2K pay. I even have a neat pin ALPA sent me around '04 with "C2k restoration " written on it in gold on a green background. How quicly they forget and aim for less than mediocrity.

Don't see anyone on the LEC/MEC wearing it now.

Public Math Warning.

We currently get 5:15 per duty period. You work 15 duty periods per month and end up with...let's see, carry the one...78:45 for the month.

A work rule change that increase that to 6:00 per duty period would net you 90 hours of pay for the month, for an increase of 14% or so.

The point being, it's not the pay rate that is all important. It's the amount we...me...your average pilot, will take home.

BTW, I'm in favor of BOTH a payrate increase AND work rule improvements.

Not investment advice, do your own due diligence, you are responsible for your own actions.

That said and I hope I'm right. The Bernanke just finished talking and quite eloquently I must say. Clearly he put responsibility in the lap of the government. While he was talking, the market was slightly buoyed, bear market rally. Dead cat bounce for the laymen.

I'm not recommending that anyone does anything, but I like TZA at this point, maybe for the next week.

Anyone else got an opinion?

DYODD, not investment advice.

First of all you ought to have the balls to make your own identity mabe even use your name instead of hiding, but I digress...

I agree with you.

There is a lot of gain to be had by improving our workrules.

Minimum Daily pay is a good start 6:00 is on par with FEDEX.
A trip rig of 2.75:1 would be another way of attacking that issue.

Same pay for everybody, reserves and lineholders.
More money for everybody consistently by having anything over a monthly cap pay 150%, we would still have greenslips anyways...

Cheers

If the EF'nA isn't sufficient, then what makes anyone think the company would be 100% honest with any of us, especially those of us who are sworn not to tell?

I think NDA's are a great way to divide the pilot group into elite leadership that knows more than the rank and file but can't tell them why. When that happens, we all lose.
gloopy, I kind of disagree.

I don't really care if we have internal guys "in the know" under NDA.
What's important is how that information is used.

If the information leads to great improvements in pay/workrules/seniority/qol then we all win.

I think the issue up for debate is how effective the people with access to non-public information are at getting those improvements... And the only way to know that would be to see the NDA information and look at the results...

Cheers
