Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Haven't gotten to the actual survey yet because I'm still shaking my head over this part of the email:
Note: Questions 28 and 29 concern pay rate increases and ask you to enter a number. You should answer each question with a two-digit number, e.g. express 5% as 05, 12% as 12, etc.
Don't you just love DALPA's template? The fact that they even talk about how to express a single digit pay rate increase is ridiculous enough. But what example do they use for a two digit pay rate increase?...12%! Not 50%, not 80%? What about how to input a three digit desire?
If you don't think DALPA has already decided what they hope we'll demand, you're kidding yourself. DALPA is in full expectations management mode to ensure they can show that their minimalistic desires are really what the pilots wanted too.
Since I'm only given a two digit option for pay increases, I'm stuck with inserting 99%. I guess if enough of us do that, then we can be assured DALPA will never release any portion of the survey...much less the opener. Pathetic.

YGTBSM! Just enter 99% and do the survey twice or three times or four.....
Here we go again. Question 12 (emphasis mine):
Using the Delta Pilots Contract Comparison as a reference, how would you rate the PWA overall as compared to the other listed carriers?
Don't give us your thoughts based on your experience, give us your thoughts based on our BS contract comparison that lied about SWA's contract and didn't even include our foreign direct competitors that pay much more.
DALPA is so predictable, it's shocking.

Additionally, was it or was it not promised to have a comparison to our Sky Team partners Air France, KLM, etc. PRIOR to having the survey?
I remember the quote from ACL somewhere along the lines of "they are busy translating it but it takes time."
Remember THIS. Those that are on FPL at 92 hours a month on the HIGHEST seat they can HOLD, plus an additional $1000.00 a month stipend have not had a put cut in effect. What were the max and min guarantee again this month and next? Finally, THEY are paid by Delta.
This has been noted before in history, You used to have the "help" that worked in the fields and those that worked in the house. The ones that worked in the house had obvious benefits above those that worked in the fields. No one that worked in the house would want to upset the apple cart. They would use whatever influence necessary to keep status quo.
Sound familiar??
Hence, DALPA's actions.
#27 on the survey:
I request the DAL MEC pursue a 20% reduction in allowable regional carrier airframes that are capable of, or currently contain, 70 or more seats to be completed within no later than two years from the date of signing of our next contract.
If ALPA can even legally ask for that without being sued by other ALPA DCI carriers... We will see!
