Question, I just did my first recurrent and was looking at my time card. It looks to me that I will not get paid my full 70 hours RES guarantee is that true?

IMHO, I don't think Delta has looked at our concessions as a loan. They look at our concessions as permanent and have no intention of repaying them. If they did that, they would not be able to fund their own GIGANTIC salaries. Anyhow, I will fight for as much as we can get. I can afford about a 6 month strike. I assume that is more than sufficient as Delta cannot afford more than a few weeks of us striking. I want paid and will support ALPA for this negotiation. I am willing to strike if necessary. When ALPA screws this up (they will as they always do), I am going to turn all my efforts towards DPA. I believe this is ALPA's hail mary attempt.

So when do the official negotiations between the DAL pilot group and DAL management begin? I have read that this current contract is up in 2013. Just wondering when it all start happening

Negotiations are permitted to open 6 months prior to *amendable* date. Amendable date = Jan. 1st, 2013
Open for Negotiation = July 1st, 2012

*Keep in mind amendable, and expiration date have two separate meanings. Under the RLA, we have the possibility to be in negotiations much past the "amendable" date, due to their not being a provision for our contract expiring.

Fly safe,

GJ

The contract becomes amendable on Dec. 31, 2012. I believe negotiations can start 270 days prior to that date.

On another note, the contract survey is out!!!

Look at your timecard. Training is pay/no credit. Add your reserve guarantee and the 9:45, if it was for 3 days, to get your total pay.

If I remember correctly, they take the daily reserve guarantee and subtract it from your 70 hour guarantee (because you are not on reserve those days) and then add the time for training.

Denny,

You're more than likely correct about opening negotiations 270 days prior. My bad, I thought it was 180.

I'll just go back to my coloring book, and thick Crayons now.

Thanks,

GJ
