Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
IMHO, most regional guys want the HUGE pay-rates and great benefits. They have been hustling and busting b@lls trying to make it to the Majors, where they can finally live the "dream".
Minus Carl and like, I think the super senior and military guys with gov't pension and medical are OK with 15%, as long as their final years are not disturbed.

Careful with the broad strokes boys, sometimes an inaccurate picture is painted. Actions and words are two different beasts, we'll see what this "new" Delta pilot group is made of in the next 24 months.
Thats a no brainer NO vote.
Hows about we're all going to take paycuts and like it.
Why dont we all fly for free and sling bags on our days off to log that coveted turbine time.
Lets vote all of our scope away.
Hmmm, I've got an idea to help keep the company afloat, lets all get our own type ratings for all of our upgrades. That should help keep us competitive.
I'm tough on ALPA, but its time to show me the scope, money and workrules.

Would you consider a 9th year Delta Connection FO with 7200 hours "jumping ahead" of a 3rd year Delta Connection Captain with 2800 hours?
Or, put another way, should I ditch my 2003 hire date at Comair and spend a year in the left seat at GoJetsss?
Would that move make me worthy of a major airline career?

That's one of many reasons the RFP FFD ACMI deal an ace, cut your mother to get ahead, pay for upgrade bottom feeder system the entire regional sector has devolved to (with mainline indifference, complacency and permission) and even more reason that scope recapture, not just "holding the line" is paramount.
There was a time the regionals pattern bargained up. It quickly devolved into a backstabbing cesspool of predatory bargaining to buy PIC time for the "majors" and has now seemed to have settled into a cautious status quo C scale with a few exceptions on either extreme.
You still have good time though, and IMO you will be able to move on for something better if you stay active and tenacious about it. There are other ways to be active about moving on besides PIC time.
Ah, back to the Civilian vs. Military argument. This is usually good! Let's throw in the senior vs. junior slant as well.

Management only needs one good idea to put all of us out of a job.
Ouch, careful with this one. Lots of folks paid for their types to get previous aviation jobs. We don't want Delta to require a DC-9 or B-737 type just to get hired here, or worse for equipment changes. Nothing surprises me anymore in this career.

Not one shred of the middle of my post was intended as anything but BS.
