Yup. It was negotiated in 1996 and maxed out at 9 years the first year, increasing to 12 years at the amendable date. I think the peak rate was about $116/hr in that contract. SWA was paying $129 during the same time frame. Mainline 732 was signficantly more. I'll post the numbers tomorrow.

If they are really going to INS movemement for out time, our on time stats are going to be trashed. At leat D-0. Thay will yield to even more "zero-tolerance" (zero-common sense) style edicts from on high to "fix it" and hurt employee relations by further increasing tensions between gate agents trying to do to their jobs and everyone non revving trying to enjoy an extremely hard earned and deserved benefit.
Not to mention, doesn't that effectively grant instant relief to the company from all our historic block times? Is the SWAA, err, I mean, the FAA, cool with this?

B Scale "isn't fair" because it treats similarly situated pilots differently. Pilots flying the same equipment over the same routes are paid differently for the same work.
The preferred method is to pay according to the productivity of the aircraft. Everyone gets paid the same, then as they have the seniority to bid a more productive jet, they can.
ALPA's fear was that bigger airplanes would be parked in favor of smaller aircraft. Hence, put the smaller jets off the property and try to restrict their number.
There is a difference between "we want no scope erosion" and "we WANT to fly anything over 76 seats." I'm not sure ALPA has turned the corner and supports the idea of these jets coming to mainline.

Technically, compared to our ops, DCI pay scales already are a B scale (C-D if you really want to call it like it is since we are now career B-scale equivalent).
I have no issue bringing all the DCI equipment on board at current-ish rates to get them on property. That at least kicks the camel out of the tent so we can fix the mess we started by letting that slobbering and spitting animal in here in the first place.
