Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
I highly recommend that if you have a JFK sit for any length of time that you go up there and sit with them and watch how they operate. I can GUARANTEE you that it will quell any urges to read them the riot act the next time you feel that they aren't recognizing that it isn't all about you... They do an amazing job considering their setup.

Yeah, the pilot still works there but only a couple of days a week. Ironically, he was in our jump seat during the entire debacle. He didn't have much to offer.

Wasn't he the "apu sheriff", put up in the tower with a hawken rifle and a sniper scope? He could read your nametag from 2 miles if you weren't wearing your hat; so people stopped wearing nametags.

The 737-900 is a POS. The thought of riding on one makes me want to vomit. I hope we don't waste $$ on those turds.
I thought we were all happy with the plan of used MD90's - $8M/copy vs. $80M.
I had 167 sob (160 pax, 6 crew, 1 js) on it yesterday - that's one big-ass DC9, and only a few seats less than the 737-900.
Btw, V2 was 169 kias.

Albeit every time I fly it it's a) summer and b) HEAVIER than any 88 I've flown at that altitude.
Either way, it looks cool, flies great and is a hell of a lot better than that POS 737-900.
