No we are not using the DAL staffing formulas, or work rules...... We will shift over with bid period 5. So for the -400 fleet it will be Sept, I am ot sure about the other fleets BP5 dates.

Are the former NWA DAL pilots using DAL work rules (2 CA 2 FO for long haul)? And if not, when will they be brought up to our rules?

Thanks ..

Yup, and the A330/A320 BP5 will be in October. Then I believe its the DC9 and 757 by Jan 2010.

The changes to the contracts since 96 have had a huge impact on jobs at Delta. I don't care who's numbers you use. The 767 domestic category went from 520 Captains to 410 and still flew the same block hours before they started parking 757's. Thats a massive improvement as far as the company is concerned.
When you think about the huge cuts in hourly rates as well as the loss of the defined benefit retirement plan, vacation, medical, work rule changes, scope, etc, it's amazing how much more productive we are for a heck of a lot less money. The general QOL is substantially lower as well.

And to think we willing gave all this up under ALPA's "leadership".

Actually, 747-400 will be in Sept, the A330 and 320 BP5 will be in Nov, and the 757 and DC9 in Jan.

Yeah, I didn't think I had that 100% correct. Thanks for correcting me.

On a side note, the 747-200 BP5 was also scheduled for Jan 2010 but we now know that won't happen.

Interesting thought, they have us scheduled to fly till the end of December and by most accounts, SOC will be in November. Curious to see how the displacements work. Yeah, I know what they told us but what they told us and how it actually plays out, look to be different things.

I've been saying that for about 6 months now.

This info. is from a 3 letter gov. agency that has something to do with SOC. I know it's blasphemous to say something different than what mngt. says, my glass of Cool Aid is empty.

capn,

I'm just curious where you're hearing November? Everything I've heard/read says "end of the year".
