I think I want to start an airline flying DC-8s.

Carry on.

I don't have to admire that firm, and I don't.

I admire a firm who tells their client the truth and helps devise a legal strategy that maximizes the outcome within the reality that exists, rather than one you wish exists.

I do get to decide if their strategy is a success. If you want me to sign on to a union who has already committed to the services of the same firm that concocted the legal strategy of USAPA. I have an opinion. And that opinion is their legal strategy is both dishonorable (refuse to accept the results of binding arbitration) and foolish (doom everyone to fly 2 separate operations where Captains make Copilot pay, just so you can call yourself Captain).

You said "USAPA has succeeded in not implementing that seniority list". That's what you said. First I show video of Seham saying something and you insist he didn't say what he just said. Then you type something and say you didn't type what you just typed. You're more fun than a barrel of monkeys!

You and I both know there is a very wide degree of latitude given to counsel. A very high threshold of has to be crossed before official sanction. At much lower levels reasonable people can still raise an eyebrow and say "That's not what I look for in a lawyer".

I want a lawyer that gives good advice and tells me the truth when nobody else will. Just like you expect of a good friend.

Buy better bait and maybe you'll have more luck the next time you go fishin'

Is it just me or has this thread degenerated into a Carl vs Carl fight?

Wow, we're so lucky that you'll play lawyer for free. Can't find anyone who'll pay you, I guess.
I’m not going to dig up the law that says the money is kept. You show me the law that says you get to keep it.
USAPA walked out of ALPA with zero.

The problem is the pilots who are Delta pilots today were not the pilots who were Delta pilots when the money went into the bank. This isn't a NWA/DAL thing either (although the NWA MEC account was empty so it's funny you're so possessive of it).

This is because when the fund started to build up, many of the guys who were working at that time have since retired. Many of the guys who work at DL now were in college.

$15M to start up, operate AND start a war chest. Do you have any idea how expensive negotiations are? USAPA was paying DPA's same law firm
over $57K per week when I looked at 2010 LM2 data.

It's not the "majority". Read your own web site. I don't know anyone who thinks it's a good idea to have anyone flying planes for poverty wages. A small amount of money is diverted to a pool for the common good.

But the common good was never really your strong suit was it. The whole idea of trade unionism has never really sat well with you.

Advisory Council Perspective Letter 7/11/2011
“Lastly, make a generous contribution, TODAY, to DPA commensurate with your desire to make this career a great one again! Is one hour of flight pay worth it? How about a rotations worth?

So I've done my home work. Why don't you tell us how much DPA pays their firm? Surely with a total contributions ever received around $32K they can't possibly be paying the $300/hr normally charged for a partner. So there's a discount? Why the discount? Last time I heard of a deal like that, the same firm was getting their hooks into USAPA.
So what exactly is the relationship/special pricing deal? Or will they not tell you?

Bump. Was wondering the same thing myself.
