No worries... Glad you are in one of them. just curious as to how big the classes are at DAL and how many more this year as well... Good luck in class.

FV,

We were told by Capt K. that there will be one class Nov 12th and another in Dec. He wasn't sure of the Dec date but said the 3rd or the 10th. Sounds like it's the 3rd.

As for the Atlanta area check this thread to get started. http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/sh...e+atlanta+area

Thanks Razor,

I checked it and posted there. Nice to get some help right from the experts. Did they give you any news?

Looking for the latest:

1. I was told 2 classes per month starting January 2008. Anyone heard any different?

Also on the aircraft deliveries:
2. Double the 777 fleet, but by when?
3. 10 737-7 .. all in 2008?
4. 10 MD-90 .. looks like happening, when?
5. 15 757 in 2008?

By the way Oct. 15th interview: 3/8. The gouge is on the money.

Thanks

1. Have not heard about classes, but did hear there will be about 600 new hires in 08.
2. There are 8 new 777s on firm order. Last I heard 3 in 08 5 in 09.
3. The 700s start coming next summer. Not sure about the delivery rate, but would suspect they will all be here by early 09 at the latest.
4. Have not heard anything certain about the -90s, but lots of rumors. If it happens I would think they are at least a year out.
5. The 757s are already being delivered. I think 4 or 5 are on property now, with the rest coming over the next 6-9 months.

Per Steve Dickson in a crew room visit last week, the number for 2008 is going to be around 650-700 newhires. I also think that training the CVG guys on the 90 almost answers the question as to getting the 90's. If we weren't going to get more we wouldn't be training more pilots to fly them. Good stuff it can keep going for a year or so.

How does Delta notify someone of an interview? Just an email or is it a phone call? I just changed my email in airlineapps because I just noticed that my email account may block some good messages as spam.

I was thinking that same thing. This thread will easily break 100K. I guess it's a good time to call Mother D home. Good luck all.
