Looks like NY7ER got about 15-20 guys at the 12K plus seniority on awards and displacements if I read it right. I should of bid in there...

Glad I stayed in Sunny So Cal on the ER.....I saw a friend who VD to SEA on the ER...why would someone do this, just wondering. Are their benefits to a VD?

Baja.
Yes. If there are no vacancies for a category you can't be awarded an AE into it. You can however displace into that category.

Additionally you get a paid move with a VD.

I was surprised to see some MSP A330 pilots use an AE instead of a MD. Not only did they give up the advantages/protections of a MD, they'll start commuting before their MD brethren.

As promised, since there was so much training they didn't award all the A330 Captain bids. Instead of 15 vacancies each, DTW only gained 7 and SEA gained 3.
