Why would that be such a big deal? Simply do the iPad with full company manual/pubs and Jepps without 10-9 GPS, just like we do now with paper. Then in a few years when the absolute perfect solution comes along, switch to that. I don't get the logic behind we can't have a massive 95% improvement without the 5% we still want so we won't take any of it.

I guess this is a stupid question but I'll ask it any way. Why on earth would the company spring for ipads if there is a full set of manuals/pubs and Jepps on board? To me, it would be redundant and not cost effective to have both. Why not just wait until the "perfect solution" comes in a few years and then switch?

IMHO, technology moves quick, and if DAL is seriously looking at the Ipad as a replacement to our current on board manuals, then DAL is more than likely waiting until we can get everything we want. Apple tends to slowly drip out better functionality and improvements on their products as a way to keep an ongoing hype about their products. It would make sense to wait until the next generation Ipad comes along with GPS integration and faster processor speed. Why invest in something twice?

I actually don't see a need to integrate a GPS system into the Ipad, it's overkill and a distraction if you ask me.

Latest rumor alerts......

Was at MSP training facility last week and our DGS instructor told us that all 747 DGS instructors have declined to work in ATL. This seemed to surprise mother DAL so now they have offered them per diem and hotels in ATL through the end of 2012.

According to one of our ALPA reps 77 guys have opted for the early retirement as of this weekend.

Thanks all for now so back to the regularly scheduled show.

You must first download icrewmax. Once you've done this it's works with icrew. So just log on to icrew, go to your monthly schedule, and scroll to the bottom. In the bottom left hand corner you should see a Download Schedule icon.

One of the signs that you've downloaded icrewmax properly is when you pull up your schedule you should see your rotation numbers underlined and in blue numbers. You can click on them and pull up the rotation right off your monthly schedule.

Due to being the King of Procrastination, I am just now wrapping my mind around bidding the Baby Bus in Peachville. Would like to put the qualifier in for position on list to accept (percentage) but can't remember how it's done. I know it's been covered previously ad naseum but laziness is an additional attribute of mine.....inquiring minds and all.... The above picture didn't help my concentration level, either......
