Either way I can see NYC getting more junior guys, who knows with these bids though. Last bid wasn't all that big and ended cause alot of movement, so who knows.
be careful with the M88B in NYC.
The company is setting it up for hiring.
In the interim line-holder count will go way down:

"Once the slot swap goes through" LOL there will be mucho flying coming in at LGA, thus the staffing disparity.

M88B went from 100 to 74 to 74 now to 68
M88A went from 95 to 72 to 91 and now 95

Had BB on my flight to ATL yesterday and before I could get done saying hello, he said "sometime in 2012" to which I assume he was referring to hiring.

Take it for what it's worth.

What is the max pickup when doing a pilot to pilot swap? I was under the impression that Green slips and pilot to pilot swaps do not impact your ALV plus 15 max pick up. My max pick up number changed when I swapped with a buddy.

There is no max pickup limit when your are swapping with a buddy or swapping/picking up from the swap board. If you pick up a trip from the swap board or swap with a buddy your max pickup will be lowered accordingly, it will however not limit the swap or pickup from happening. A GS will not lower your max pickup because you get pay no credit for a GS. If you are trying to really load up for a month you should WS trips before you pick any up from a buddy or the swap board.

Uh-oh. Don't get the boys started on trip parking.

To answer your question though -- there is no max pickup on a pilot to pilot swap. You can exceed the contractual limit. (that's the controversy)

However, the number you see on your schedule will change after you complete the swap because the computer now looks at your new schedule and re-computes. It "impacts" the max pickup in that sense. If you exceeded the max pickup with your pilot to pilot swap then your new max pickup will be zero.

Not a very good explanation but I hope that helps.

So in other words, if I wanted to load up the month, I should have used a white slip first, which would have lowered my max pickup number and then I could have added what ever pilot to pilot swaps I wanted, to no limit. By doing a pilot to pilot swap first, I basically made it so I can't "white slip" if something came up, but I can p to p all I want. Correct?
