When a new thread about DPA showed up today, it was immediately moved to "Union Talk." The ALPA/Jet Blue thread is still in the Major section. If you already had time to move the original DPA thread a long time ago and then today's DPA thread to Union Talk, then you also had time to move the ALPA/Jet Blue thread that has existed for several weeks and to which I have called the moderator's attention three times now. I'm not buying your lame excuse. Sorry, but it seems obvious to me that you are practicing selective censorship. Not cool.

So in a year after they have moved NATCO I wonder how much we will be paying to keep up the NATCO building and the old headquarters building because nobody will buy them. I don't think MSP is a hot spot when it comes to business so I'm thinking we'll pay to move all the stuff then still have to pay for the buildings. Maybe they already have them sold, but I doubt it.

What do you mean? As in starting to fat staff/pad categories in advance? If so, wouldn't that require at least some hiring?

MSP has a number of fortune 500 businesses. That's why NWA / Delta makes so much $ off of originating traffic out of MSP. That being said, I'm not sure what else building N (natco) could be used for. I'm sure it will be tough to sell.

I thought when the nwa/delta merger happened a few years ago Richard promised the state of minnesota that we would keep thousands of jobs in Minnesota, and he specifically noted the bldg N training center. Interesting.

Good luck to all those Natco instructors. Good people.

As Ed said, they have quite a few (at least 21) Fortune 500 companies based there. They include alot of names you are familiar with such as United Health Group (DOH!), Target, 3M, General Mills, and Bestbuy. I was surpised when I heard it too.

A) They can offer PS and Hotels if they don't get enough DGS and IP's to take a job in ATL

B) There are a lot of pilots on those aircraft (and the 744) that do live closer to ATL than they do DTW or MSP.

Could fix that by offering hotel, per diem and PS passes to/from ATL for instructors, just like ... a previous airline. My last checkride was from a retired captain working for DGS. He lives in MSP and doesn't really need the job. Don't think he will be paying for hotels so he can work for DGS in ATL.

If they offer it to ANY seniority list IPs, then it should be offered to ALL seniority list IPs. As PG is fond of saying, we can't just negotiate for a few select individuals. Oh wait, unless the company gives it out for free like retired 777 captains coming back to work after lump summing out...

I think there is a little leverage here to get this back if ppl decide they won't instruct and have to pay their own way.

P.S. I am NOT an instructor.
