So, a bird flies up to my window and says, "Le CSeries est mort enterré, selon Airbus"
1. Regular lines within a category will average within 1 hour of the published ALV.
2. No rotation(s) will be awarded which would be within 1 hour of creating an FAR violation.
3. Minimum break in duty between rotations:
a. 12 hours after a duty period which does not contain an ocean crossing
b. 13 hours before a duty period which does contain an ocean crossing
c. 18 hours after a duty period which does contain an ocean crossing
d. 48 hours between duty periods containing opposite direction ocean crossings (Europe/South American/Asia)
That's too bad bar. Maybe Embraer was smart to stay out.
They should straighten that wing and throw a big prop on it.

I'm out so you will have to cut and paste the above.
Or just go all the way back to post 64539 and see if you can get one of those links to work.

For what it does for Delta it is way too capital intensive...
Boeing doesn't have the slots so they won't bid
Airbus can deliver and the 320Neo family offers significant fuel burn/seat improvements over our current jets to offset the capital cost.
I expect a mix of 320 and 321 and the 321 with shark lets might join the fleet in 2013 to replace the oldest 757s. The fuel burn/seat on the A321 with the current generation motors and sharklets is more than 15%/seat better than the 757. Later the GTF the A321NEO will offer even larger savings...
The 100-130 seater will come but it looks very familiar :-)
Just a new coat of paint and a concourse over...
Cheers
George
