Speaking of reserves, what does the "max reserve" number indicate at the end of the schedule? Thx.

The time is already in Mecca, but could it be that mainline is not flying that time. Here is a good start>

You suggest ALPA will chant "Unity or Failure in Contract Negotiations". If they were smart, they would chant, "Southwest Plus and all seats over 50 MAINLINE" or something substantial like that. But they won't.....the regionals would file a DFR suit immediately....AND WIN!

When considering the time available to prepare and negotiate our desires, bear in mind that the DPA Contract Survey opened to members last October. ALPA has yet to post such a survey.

Unless we as a majority pilot group either get DALPA to act in the best interest of their pilots or replace them with in house union, this>The amendable date is 12/31/2012 and when has ALPA ever signed a contract on the amendable date? We are looking at years before ALPA can produce a contract if history is correct. If we allow ALPA to hack away at our next contract once again, we are just asking for more loopholes in scope and inadequate restoration of pay.

I sure hope that is not the case, but history sides with the above statement. We can't even get an aggressive statement out of DALPA about SCOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, new to reserve so I need some explaining.

Trying to move some "X" days in PCS and I get "violates off day reserve grouping" statement. What does that mean sitting 7ERB cat.

I think it means that you're trying to move days that, if granted, would violate the reserve line parameters that are posted on the first page of the bid package. For example, June's LAX 73 package has the reserve parameters set at min days on 3, max days on 9, max off days block 5. If you're trying to move days and it violates one of those, you can't do it. That's the way I've always interpreted it. I could be wrong.

Not a single day in LAX with less reserves than required. In some cases, twice as many available than as needed. Weird.

Also...it will not allow you to create any additional blocks of days off, even if you are under the max number of blocks.
