Yup, I get tired of this crap too. Your issues are important as the discussions can go on for pages. Ours are just whining.

Well, there are a lot of variables in my particular case due to fleet retirements so it's hard to nail down. I guess I could figure it out, but my point to be made was that I'm tired of folks telling me how lucky I was to get the DAL payrates due to the merger. I truly do not want this discussion to deginerate into some N vs S debate. All I was trying to respond to is that at the end of the day I'm getting less DC % than someone hired at DAL the same day as me (not to mention new hires). It is what it is, but it sticks in my craw that I'm missing out on a few thousand dollars per year. I had nothing to do with the negotiations at the time and couldn't vote on the results.

As a reasonable person, I'm content with waiting until the next contract to be on par with the vast majority of the pilot group. Let's add this to the To Do List and venture forward as a unified group. We deserve it.

Sorry, I meant to say 8%. DAL pays 8% out for every NWA guy. But the targeting guys 8% gets dumped into the targeting plan and then redistributed to individuals using that plan's methodology. For some that means very little, and for others it means a lot. But the average is 8% to all involved in targeting. Since you are outside targeting, you get a flat 8% every paycheck.

The old, "If you don't like it, you can leave" response.

I've always hated that proposition.

The world gets better because people don't like things, voice their displeasure, then rally around making change.

Find another gig? Live longer?

I'm glad George Washington, John Adams and the rest of the Framers didn't take similar advice.
