So are you saying these 200 or so guys are more equal than others, and get their increase early? Good deal for them, but whose pocket does that ultimately come out of?
Since you quite obviously didn't read the resolution I'll try and summarize it for you (or you could go read the resolution.)

PMNW pilots hired after September 1, 2007 are not eligible for the NWA Pension Plan, Excess Plan or MP3 Plan. During the merger they were give a modified DC plan increased on an annual basis. In 2012 that DC plan funding will be directly affected by the funding for the NWA Pension Plan even though this group has no financial eligibility for that plan.

The DC plan for all other pilots on the property, including new hires, is 2010-10%, 2011-11%, 2012-12%. The PMNW pilots hired after September 1, 2007 are esssentially getting 3% less in their DC than new hires and get no MP3 and are not eligible for the NWA Pension Plan and Excess Plan.

Maybe alfa can do a better job of explaining this.

This was a substitute resolution. The one it replaced was the Council 66 resolution to recall one of the the three existing members. If you prefer that one you can reintroduce it at your next LEC meeting.

For 4.3 minutes.... maybe?
Again if you read the resolution, the maker wants the gate agents to honor the pilots seniority when assigning seats. Not everyone knows how to check in online, believe it or not, and boarding usually starts prior to the 30 minute point. The resolution said nothing about changing the check-in time for pay.

Default Contract/401K ?

For all you big-shot, wide-body, moneybag types: What happens when you reach the IRS 401K annual max? Do you get the DC contributions as additional taxable income?

Anyone know of a good mechanic? For some reason the wrenches around here will not talk to me and I'm tired of changing the oil on my wife's GL450. Oil drips on my head and leaves a stain.

Me too! I had to enlarge it to see who it way. With the red hair, I was not sure if it was a picture of McGuire.

Does losing the hat require giving something up?

My point is that I will not accept a bargaining debit for that hat. They can give it to us, but I am not going to pay to remove it from the uniform.

What I think you are asking is: If you contribute up to the IRS 415C limit of $49k/yr what happens after that?

Magically, the contribution stops and it is just included in your paycheck as spendable income...which is taxable...so people who don't want to work get to spend money you send to the government, but I digress...

Just 'cause I feel like posting this:
