Have to agree Buzz, his post-round interview reaffirmed his arrogance. he looked at Bill Macatee as if he were asking stupid questions and wasting his time, when in fact he should be sucking up to anyone who will listen. In contrast, after an epic meltdown, 21 yr old Rory McIlroy came across as poised, humble, and grateful for his place in the world. I used to be a huge Tiger fan, but there are too many good guys in the field (Mickelson et al).
So when's the next bid?

The Board finds a single transportation system only when there is substantial integration of operations, financial control, and labor and personnel functions. Burlington N. Santa Fe Ry. Co., 32 NMB 163 (2005); Huron and Eastern Ry. Co., Inc., 31 NMB 450 (2004); Portland & Western R. R., Inc., 31 NMB 71 (2003); American Airlines and Reno Air, 26 NMB 467 (1999). Further, the Board has noted that a substantial degree of overlapping ownership, senior management, and Boards of Directors is critical to finding a single transportation system. Precision Valley Aviation, Inc., d/b/a Precision Airlines and Valley Flying Serv., Inc., d/b/a Northeast Express Reg’l Airlines, 20 NMB 619 (1993). The Board’s criteria for substantial integration of operations do not require total integration of operations. US Airways/America West Airlines, 33 NMB 49 (2006).
I don't know all this legal stuff. I think its just hard for the average line pilot to believe that Republic is not an air carrier. What the heck is Republic Air Holdings if its not a company providing air transportation? They are tricking the system through a legal subterfuge.
Right is right. Our contract prevents codesharing with a company that has Airbuses and E-190s. At least we thought it did.
At this point, ALPA may have to file this grievance just to maintain any sort of credibility with the membership. We've been giving away pieces of our scope clause for so long that its kinda like the sun rising in the morning. A little scope erosion pops up -- ALPA lets it slide or agrees to "settle". Drip, drip, drip.
I'm just tired of it.

Not to mention that Cohen Weiss and Simon, while telling us we couldn't win the case before, had complete and ready access to all the precedents cited by you in blue.
Alfa;
Sorry man, they suck, your are wrong, and ALPA better pony up with the grievance or they have lost me for life.

I passed through the lounge in ATL the other day, and the DPA and ALPA folks were there. I stopped by to talk to chat to the DPA folks. They were nice, listened to what I had to say quietly and respectfully, and then gave me some of their thoughts. My humble impression, they know they can't win and are looking for some kind of settlement.
That said, after I walked deeper into the lounge, I was accosted by the ALPA folks. I tried to tell them why I was not happy with ALPA, and almost before I could get the words out of my mouth, they were on my like a pack of dogs. Not one of them was actually taking the time to hear what I had to say. I learned all I really need to know about ALPA that day. They don't care what we want or what we have to say. They pretend they do...but they don't.
Not sure DPA is the answer, but something needs to change.

Died mustache and all. Incredibly rude. But I just assumed he was the only one and moved on and will continue to do so until another one blows me off.
And no I haven't sent a DPA card in. Although I might just yet. I would send in a IBT one though if asked.

Anyone know how to expense Malarone? All I see for expenses on ICrew are the rotation and training expenses. I have no rotations or training activities this month.
The CPSC is closed right now, so I thought I'd run it by this crowd of experts.
Thanks.

Buzz, this one's for you....
Richard said that codeshare partner Alaska Airlines’s move to Terminal 6 at LAX to be closer to Delta’s operation there will make it easier for customers to connect between the airlines. He also said that Delta is investing in construction work at LAX in Terminals 5 and 6.
“You are going to continue to see that investment in Los Angeles,” he said. “With all of our partners including Alaska and all of our SkyTeam partners we have the No. 1 position in L.A., and we are focused on growing it.”
Lets hope its on our metal. I just tried to get a buddy pass for my sister to fly from SEA-LAX. EVERY flight is on Delta*----operated by Alaska.![Frown](https://www.airlinepilotforums.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)

I clap in your general direction sir. But not with the angry face, that's beyond the control of images.google.com at this particular moment because when I see Rebecca Black I think It's Friday, Friday...
Gotta get down on Friday
Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend, weekend
Friday, Friday
Gettin' down on Friday
Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend
Partyin', partyin' (Yeah)
Partyin', partyin' (Yeah)
Fun, fun, fun, fun
Lookin' forward to the weekend"
How can you not smile?

I did! They've got a "LOLbuilder" thing on that icanhazcheezburger site. The captain and I this last trip kept on mentioning that song and the "next bid next bid when is gonna be the next bid" came to me. Talent...sheer talent.

The key reason however is to provide a better quality of life for reserve pilots. It certainly would be possible to set up a move up system like the flight attendants have that could run the day prior and even same day as trips drop into open time. It will however result in absolute crap for reserve pilots in terms of trip quality. Every change in how we assign trips has ramifications that are different for each seniority segment. I don't ever plan on being on reserve again but don't mind granting this benefit to reserve pilots.
