The pilot group upon the posting of a MOAB bid with no MD's and massive vacancies:

Said MOAB bid that evening on Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta prior to inspiring Capn to make some posts that end up getting his account suspended:

And the pilot group on said thread the night that the previously thought to be MOAB bid turned into a non-MOAB bid due to oil, international crisis, massive earthquakes and nuclear meltdowns and capacity reductions and negative rumors about 747s...

Hunker down, oil is $100 in March and we're not even into hurricane season yet! Which of course, let me remind you, FTB is predicting this year to have 0-80 named hurricanes, 0-80 are Category 5, 0-80 will threaten the U.S. and 0-80 will make landfall in the U.S. There, I'm as good as the government *******s.

A google images search of Carnival in Rio is a very interesting adventure. BOM DIA!

Mardi Gras at its best looks like it's no better than whats floating down the gutter in the ghettos of Rio at 3am the night after Carnival ends.

I bet the Colonel did it in his tent with a lead pipe.

This was what was said on the CVG base meeting. The meeting was at the end of Feb (literally the day things turned ugly in Lybia, and Oil started going ape ******,) so obviously, subject to change. That being said, jet fuel prices aren't THAT far now from where they were then...

-Next bid in April to May time frame
-Looking at a new A320 base. ATL good possibility (currently 30-40 A319/320 departures from there) but NYC also in the running depending on final outcome of slot swap.
-Also looking at a new base for the 330.
-744 will be status quo (though this was well before the Japan Crisis)
-CVG will be status quo (i.e. no new 320 category, no drawdown on 73N)
-767 to 7ER conversion pushed to end 2012 or 2013. Management wanted conversion quickly for flexibility, but now realizes that there’s a cost for that training, and wants to slow down the conversion. For now, when bodies are needed on the 76, they will go to the ER category.
-Not setting up bases to be 100% where the flying is, but rather ensuring proper coverage to respond to network’s changes.

I noticed that the F/O had the same last name as the letter writer.
