Depends, that is what they said. I would be floored if 20% came from the Interport Operation, I can see Asia, but those were the words used. It is an impressive operation and one we need to hold on to.

Carl
The Security Council had a very strongly worded resolution. I was shocked at the verbiage:

The U.N. Security Council authorized a no-fly zone over Libya and called for Arab states and others to use "all necessary measures" to protect civilians from attacks by Moammar Gadhafi's forces.

On a side note, never thought I would see the day that the UN Security Council used language stronger than the union representing my interests.

I forgot to mention the other shocker involving the Libya No Fly Zone.

Earlier, French Prime Minister Francois Fillon said on France-2 Television that "time is of the essence" and that France would support military action against Gadhafi within a matter of hours if the Security Council approves the resolution.

The same country that made us fly around their airspace to bomb Libya?

I'm waiting for Carl to start saying that Dogs and Cats are living together...

Talk about closing the barn door after the horse, the time for us to act was 30 days ago.

Its as if Otter were president.

Otter: Dead! Bluto's right. Psychotic... but absolutely right. We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons, but that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part!

I deadheaded over on Monday to pick up the remainder of my rotation following the HNL to NRT leg being canceled on Friday. Anyway, sat around NRT for almost 48 hours just to deadhead to HNL this morning after our inbound aircraft canceled the day before.

The hotel is in good shape but the karma is tense. The flight ops and inflight VPs are holding two a day briefings to keep everyone up to date. I went to one but left when it turned into a ***** session. My two favorite lines were, "everything is fine right now but stay close to the hotel so we can find you" .

Wired internet was down in the rooms but the wireless was working fine in the lobbys and restaurant. Looks like there is at least one rolling blackout per day and laundry is now running two days.

All I can think of.........except my admiration of the Japanese just took at big jump upwards. All this devastation and no looting or crime increases. No price gouging, in fact it's just the opposite. Truly amazing people.

I know, I know. I'll go to my room.

But before I go, how many earthquakes did you have there?

And did any of ya'll see this thing on if dead fish wash up by the thousands its usually a precursor to an earthquake due to toxins suffocating the oxygen out of the water or vibrations? I wonder if that's true? They did have those fish wash up in Los Angeles area earlier in the month.

Anyways, if I see dead fish and it's not because Satch or Tsquare threw car battery in the pond for the fish fry, then I'm going to sleep in the doorway.
