No but Republic (another certificate) does, the 190 for F9, formerly MEH Connect.

I do, and I am trying to get you to see, that ALPA issues and all, is a lot better than an independent. A new independent will get steamrolled by the issues we are facing.

They are international in nature and only ALPA has influence there. Fact!

15 years is a heck of a lot of time. If all you want is what is best for your and you do not leave it better than where it is at, then I understand. Fact is that we need to work towards unifying ourselves on the National front, and ALPA is the mechanism in which to do it, no matter how much you hate em. Ergo, fix it.

Do you think it is wise strategically for those polling results to get out to the public, and to us? I say heck no, because then the company knows exactly where we are as a group and how to effectively marginalize us. They need to be kept secret.

As for the second part, of the MEC meetings that I have witnessed, the Reps would take great offense to your assertion. These Reps know what they want, and sometimes that is in line with this or that, but the reality is they direct the MEC, and frankly that is the way this Administration's Master Chair sees it.

These Reps are type A's and will not just rubber stamp everything. Call your reps. You elected them for a reason, and if this were to ever go on, I am very certain the majority of the MEC Reps would call BS, abet quietly and in closed session. Why? because somethings are better not aired to the public and to the company.

ACL...I explained the distribution of the polling results, not to debate the need for confidentiality - which I certainly recognize - but merely to explain the process for those that are unfamiliar. You are obviously used to being on the defensive. My point was that the results aren't easily presented for thorough review.

As to the second part, many LEC reps in the past have called BS...but often the TA has already been just that - "tentatively agreed" to.

At the end of the day this language has not changed since the JPWA and we ratified it. We have to stop doing that. Read it. Understand it.
The issue here is that we are guaranteeing RJET profits by "competiting" on the same route with their airplanes. Those are guaranteed profit operations for S9 and CHQ (not at risk flying) that we are sending on the routes against RJET.

(my beef here is both with our management and with ALPA, btw)

Is it the Republic certificate that does the UsAir flying? I think so.........
Anyway, the UsAir E175's are configured to single class 86 seats.

It is. S9 only flies for UAL and DAL.

I wasn't implying that you thought it made sense, I was just thinking out loud. It might just be black helicopter syndrome, but I found it interesting about the 'new routes' & the fact that CHQ will be operating them. Could just be coincidence.

And again, I hear Bill Preston in that 1970s classic in my head. It is too big a mess for me to fix, and I would rather go sailing anyway. You think it is worthwhile.. I am in a wait and see mode.

On another line...
How much are we gonna spend on the ATI-SWA merger when it is a FACT that they will be leaving the association?
