Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

Two questions for the conoscenti:
When do when start getting 5 RAW points for sitting a day of Short Call?
Will the proposed FAR rest rules reduce our Int'l Short Call from 24 hours to something less? It is my understanding that UAL currently has a 15 hour Int'l Short call.
Thanks

I was pondering this D-0 thingie and how best to identify the rough spots and track them. Different door switches that report separate times was a great idea but then I remembered a long lost item from the past.
At the OLD terminal in DTW, we used to get push clearance over ACARS. When they installed it, it really cut down on the radio traffic. It wasn't moved to the new DTW terminal because it was too expensive to move (so Delete Pete told me one time when I flew with him).
So, if there was an e-record of:
Cabin door closed
Push request sent
Push clearance received
Beacon on/Breakes released
Aircraft moved
I think the powers that be would have a much better picture of whats going on.
Anyway, just throwing it out as a long range solution as we get a fancier system.

BTW, I read the email again and it says it's been presented to the MEC Chairman & the Senior Vice President of Flight Operations.

It's justified by Whitlow not applying to International flying. The first 12 hours they can nail you with Domestic or International, the last 12 hours with only International. Bah-ru-tal.

You can't fly a domestic flight, but it's legal to be on short call at 0600, then get called at 2200 to fly a two pilot red-eye to a SAQ airport in the mountains of Central/South America. Yeah, that makes sense.
