Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

I've jumpseated on Airtran as recently as December. It was no big deal whatsoever. Just walk up to the gate for the flight you want (plenty early) and the agent should be able to take care of you. I've had nothing but GREAT experiences with them the few times I've used them; to include the agents, FA's, and especially the pilots. Many of their guys use us to get back and forth to ATL so I think they're especially tuned in to this.
To get a pretty good idea of the loads, just go to their website and search for the flights you want as if you were going to buy a ticket. The second or third page that pops up will give you a chance to peek at the seat map. It's not perfect, but better than nothing.
Note* I've only ridden them OUT of ATL. I'm not sure how they work at the outstations.

Quick question, I want to buy a couple of days from my Bank to add to the vacations that we just bid for next year. I can figure out how to request them from the bank, but I cannot figure out where to go to tell the system where to put the days that I add.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated...

I ended up having to call crew resources to have the days added. You may want to call and make sure the dates are available (Superbowl sunday was unavailable in my case and I didn't even realize they looked at that months in advance) if you're in an "all or nothing" situation. You certainly don't want to pay for the days if you end up not needing them.
I believe if you buy them for next year before vacation bidding takes place, you can bid them as part of your normal vacation bid. If you're buying them for this year or next year, after vacation bidding, then you will have to contact crew resources and have them placed. I think a week has to be available for when you're trying to place them.
Not a contract guru by any means. Just going off of my experience.

Buy the days from your bank in DBMS. Then email (corporate email deleted) and tell her where you would like them placed. Sounds like a pain but its actually simple. I don't think there is any automated way to place the days unless its a recent change. Lynn is quick and responsive. Make sure you give her your full name and employee number in the email.

She was, until the day you decided to post her e-mail address on a public forum. Now she's going to have so many ads in her inbox, convincing her that size really does matter, that she won't even be able to get to the cries for help from her long-lost Nigerian banker relatives. So never mind Delta pilots.
Might want to PM that one, instead.

I rarely fret.
Can't talk now, I'm ordering... something online. I just received $20 million from my long-lost Nigerian banker uncle, who unfortunately passed on just before he was found by the family. It's being transferred into my account as we speak.
