Contact tower? Really? Remind me to rotate passing VR.

I was on a 757 DH not long ago in the middle of winter and it was so stuffy in the back that it just made you feel disgusting.

There is absolutely two extremes with the APU. Those who leave it running when it doesn't need to be and then there is Captain America who leaves it off and tells you and the back to kiss off, he's saving the company money.

With that mindset why even take off? Imagine how much money you could save the company if you didn't take off and instead just went home.

Both need to be ridiculed out of existence. When you need it use it, don't be a... Perez Hilton.

Amen brother... amen.

And with all your photoshop abilities couldn't you have at least put a black censor box over that fruitcake's junk?

Many of their guys use us to get back and forth to ATL so I think they're especially tuned in to this.

To get a pretty good idea of the loads, just go to their website and search for the flights you want as if you were going to buy a ticket. The second or third page that pops up will give you a chance to peek at the seat map. It's not perfect, but better than nothing.

Note* I've only ridden them OUT of ATL. I'm not sure how they work at the outstations.
Thanks! I'll just try a gate agent this evening when we finish our last flight. That reservation agent must have been misinformed.

Having jumpseated around a lot during that summer, the way it was explained to me was BOB (of course), and there was some guy named Tom that was legendary for being able to walk on an airplane and cause a maintanence delay.

Didn't hear about auntie FMLA

Suit up pay.

I went back through some previous posts on this but I'd like see if I understand it. I'm sitting short call and get zapped to be at the airport asap.....hopefully 1 1/2 hours for a deadhead. As I walk off the bus I pick up my phone.....I can almost see the computers to check in. The call is from scheduling saying that my trip is too tight and they are afraid of Whitlow so I've been pulled off the trip.

I'm now at home looking at the contract and trying to figure out whether I get suit up pay. I called scheduling and they said "no suit up pay since you didn't sign in." BUT, the cool scheduler talked to his supervisor and they agreed to give me suit up pay because I was at the airport. Thank you scheduling. (-:

Here is what the contract says.

A short call reserve pilot who is removed from a rotation or portion thereof will receive suit-up pay and credit if Crew Scheduling first attempted to notify him of such removal less than two hours before his scheduled report.

Nowhere does it say I have to be signed in to get suit up pay. Only the paragraph above this one in the contract references long call reserves and regular line holders are required to sign in first. My notification from scheduling was just a couple minutes before sign in.

Is scheduling wrong in assuming a short call reserve pilot must be signed in to get suit up pay?? If so, then I'll send a note to Alpa so they can fix this.

The paragraph referencing short call and suit up pay also mentions credit. Do I actually get full credit for the trip that I didn't fly? Not that it matters, I'm not breaking guarantee but it would bring the raw score up.

Thanks,

Hoser

BTW, I've got a great underboob pic that I want to share. How long are we on 'time out' when we share these pics with our buddies???

Not sure on the suit-up thing, but as per your friendly L&G mods, all underboob pics are greatly appreciated.
