Not to get too medical, but my lipitor jacks up the urine dip stick test (shows blood). I had to get my AME to sign off on a more detailed urinaylsis. I go thru the same hoop everytime I get my Class 1.

Can anyone tell me how long the average wait is from day two of the interview till the email saying you are good to attend training. I know they are waiting on the background and the shrink but is that 1 week, 2 weeks, longer?
I interviewed last week and I am anxious for that email.

12 Sep interview, 21 Sep cleared to train, 26 Sep call for class date, 27 Sep email to confirm 15 Oct class date. Very similar for other guys in my group.

Waited from 1983 until 1996 to get the quals. In 1996 not really hiring. Stayed on the job until 2001. March 2001 told to expect October interview. Hiring ceased in June 2001. Took another job.
It all worked out. Life is good. But you young bucks getting started at Big D are going to have a great opportunity to work with some of the best pilots and nicest people I've ever met, and your families are going to (frustratingly at times I know...) get to go all over the world.

I am in no way near close to being able to apply with Delta but I have a curious question. How long would it take a new hire to hold SLC under current conditions?

I don't know for sure but I thought it was last 4 of SSN, as in 9999 bids first and 0001 bids last...
Question for you Delta guys...say you really wanted 767 out of ATL but got "stuck with" a Mad Dog out of NYC, when can you bid to the 767 and/or bid to ATL? At my old airline, seniority was everything (at least til bankruptcy) so you could bid to whatever you wanted after IOE was done...not the most cost effecient way of doing business but kept everyone happy, how does Delta do it?
