I stopped giving to the PAC years ago have not seen a single reason to start donating again since I stopped. I would gladly send more money if I thought they would use it to protect my career and make our lives easier, but so far I've seen no reason at all to donate money to the PAC.

Why not match the rate? Same plane, same rate, right? Again, no, this comparison requires a more complex analysis. We know that the 737s that Delta operates do not fly the same mission that Southwest uses their 737s for. Therefore, examine the chart to better understand our concern that the Delta pilots would be selling ourselves short if we compared our 737rate to the SWA 737 rate. We believe a comparison between our MD-88 and the SWA 737s is more appropriate (12-year captain pay at DL and SW):
So I was thinking, what would our pay rates look like if we made MD88 pay equal SWA pay?

So here is where our pay is in 2011:

Here is where it would be if you replaced the 88 pay with SWA 737 pay and then adjusted the other categories proportionally. The last row has the average pay increase over Delta pay rates for the entire fleet and then the last column the average percentage increase per category.

Any errors will just have to be accepted as is, til tomorrow at the earliest.

Wow, I have 5,555 posts. Nice even number of all odd numbers.

I feel complete. I think I'm going to stop posting now and just enjoy having all 5s.

Does anyone have any comments on the rumors or statements floating around that the 320 fleet may see some basing changes on the next AE? What would you expect to be the moves? Seems to me the 320 is best suited for SLC, able to reach both coasts nicely from there, but not so well at ATL, NYC, or LAX?

Also, where will all the pilots, Capts and FO both, be likely to bid when the DC9 is drawn down--will it all be absorbed by MD90?

I like the new MCO hotel. I didn't like the old one, I like this one. Plus the water bottles are free in your room.

Oh yeah... also, what would QOL be at 80% on the 73NB in LA (commuting from PHX)? Would that hold a line, or would it be off and on a line-holder? And what kind of trips does 80% get you, something pretty bad for commuting probably? I'm staring at these bid packs, but very hard to get my brain around what type of trips they are.

Thx.
