Remember that this was prepared for the investor community that is pressuring the sector for capacity constraint or cuts. Ero, use the number that best help your cause.

That would slowly draw down the outstanding ASA agreements, giving realistic and reasonable timelines for the sub-contractors to find alternate business opportunities and allow DAL to spool up the recaptured flying on the mainline side.
How about we don't care about the ASA agreements, let Delta do whatever it wants to do with whoever it wants to do it with, but the flying MUST be performed by DELTA pilots, represented by the Delta MEC, under a Delta contract?

Anyone know where this is written? LOA, contract, FOM? I'm short on time and figured I'd come to the brain trust here.

Grassyass in advance
I don't know where it's written. But last month I reserved a Jumpseat in the morning for an evening flight. About 3 hours after reserving the seat I got a call from the CPSC informing me that I had been bumped out the Jumpseat by a Fed, & that they had booked PS on the same flight. In the same phone call they gave me my confirmation #.

Why don't we just stop flying and keep the $30 billion and fire everybody? Earnings per share will be incredible for next quarter.

Airlines have NEVER shrunk to profitability. We must find a business model that works, beat the competition and dare I say, oh no, DAMMIT WE HAVE TO TAKE THE FIGHT TO THEIR DOORSTEP AND BEAT THEM, drive the bastards out of business while telling their customers how much we love them.

Oh drat, it slipped out. Sorry. I'll go back to retreating in defeat ... outsourcing is the answer every market challenge. Does not take up front money, effort, or involve risk.

Wow! That's unbelievably proactive. I'm looking for ammo to show a gate agent if necessary. I was bounced last week by a fed, and only happened to get the FA jumpseat, otherwise the agent was convinced I was making up the PS thing.

I've forgotten about it until today and of course the commute's looking tight as usual... Did I mention commuting to reserve sucks?!

No one wants to see a mainline jet parked. No one.

Point is that using Ed's words he used today, we park those 9's but using that 100 newer jets and those RJ's statement, there is a disconnect there. The airplanes above the 32 possible 70+ seat RJ will have to mainline and more than likely 90's. My point is that there was a major hint given in that release today about the 90. It also adds up to a net gain unless they park 88's and it is at worst case a neutral trade out.

My dots connect a few things here, and I refuse to get a helmet fire at this time.
