When will the next memo come out that those on the DC-9 are frozen, can't bid off, and will hold the pay rate of which they can bid into? Doesn't seem like they are thinking of moving any DC-9 bases.

Good idea. A FA friend just told me our HVC (FC) are not happy about all the traffic going thru FC. The FA's are telling them to write the company.

Another issue FA's are running into is room to store trash. With only ONE galley on a 4 hour flight from MSP to the West Coast it's easy to overfill the trash cart in a short time. A FA told me on one flight the FA's had to close off a LAV so they could keep bags of trash in the LAV. This is very likely since most pax in coach bring their own food.

Quick question:
As a line holder, can I pick up an out of base trip using the swap board, or can I only do an OOB pick up through a white slip?
Thanks in advance.

It is all explained in the PWA-Contract-Pilot Working Agreement. Go to the ALPA site, then go to the library, and then download "When Scheduling Calls" It explains a lot of this.
There is/are also some notepads that were penned at the time of the merger that explain each section of the contract. I can get you to them if you cannot find them.

Anyone got a guess as to when I'd get training if I tell them I'm available 2 Mar for 73N?

Are the DC-9's being parked any sooner than we were told back in 1999? I seem to remember a chart that showed the last one hitting the cycle limit in 2014.

Through a WS only I think. Try to pick it up off the Swap Board & see what happens. If it isn't allowed the computer won't let you do it.
