Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

The danger is the MEC is not listening, or they will use the tried and true tactics of saying they are a Representational democracy, and they are doing what they are elected to do, you don't know what they know (then tell me - we can't it's confidential) and that 24 out of a 6000 pilot base does not constitute the "will of the pilots". Happens every day.
You ask for a poll of the pilots and they will vote it down, and say we use Wilson, where they can construct questions like would you rather "negotiate on Scope or have white hot irons poked in your eye", and the results are kept MEC confidential lest they not support the pre-conceived outcome.
Most MEC's are Oligarchies carefully disguised as Democracies.

The NW MEC took a risk by rejecting a known deal and going to arbitration. The gained nothing on the seniority list and lost a lot of money as the second contract wasn't as good as the first. You have to evaluate whether that risk was worth it or not. Pretending that there is no risk and no downside is just silly.
While not a "win" it was certainly better than what you had planned for us, and certainly worth the risk.
Ask some of the more junior DAL-S pilots how they feel about, if you care.

Actually DAL-S did substantially better than your "known deal". The seniority loss was ~50% of what the offer was, and fences were only among a couple of acft.

Unfortunately "our MEC speaks for us".... and how's that been working for us wrt scope so far? I'll wager dollars to doughnuts (mmmmmm doouuuuggghhhhnnnuuuutttssss arggggggggg.) we aren't finished conceding on scope. JMHO

Interesting word "Scope." Unfortunately "my MEC speaks for me" with bad breath.

Carl, you of all people should have learned by now that taking a fight to arbitration has risks. The NW pilots had a contract offer and a seniority list offer in February 2008. They insisted on going to arbitration for seniority. Fast forward to December 2008 and they had a contract and a seniority list. The seniority list is basically the same as the one offered in February and the contract is short many millions of dollars.
