Let me correct this for you sailing.

There are however pilots on here who can't post a single good thing about DALPA/ALPA.

By the way, why is it that sailing and slow and scambo and the other ALPA insiders always disappear whenever the words "Flight Pay Loss released to constituents in written format" are mentioned.

Not sure if this was said or not, but that senior person taking a VD can only use the seniority of the person they "saved" to move about the system, not their own. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Ranger, If you haven't been able to unload your schedule yet try this.....There are a couple of ways to get your schedule onto your Google calender. The easiest way I have found is to save my schedule to my desktop then go into my google calender and import it. To do it like this you have to have your settings set a certain way (its actually the default settings when you download icrew max). At the top of your browser go to tools/add-ons and select the options button under Icrew max. Then click on the rotations tab and at the bottom you will see a drop down menu for the format. Select the "iCal #1 for outlook/Mac....". You are now set up to do it this way.
Simply click on the "download schedule" tab at the bottom of your schedule and save it where you want and then go into your Google calender click on the add button on the left and side and select import schedule. Find your save schedule and upload it. I will assume you have your google calender and your calender on your andriod synced

It really is much simpler than it sounds.

You mean the threat, which has never been carried out much less carried out and upheld in their favor, to use the 1113 process to gut scope.

Outsourcing was given up out of fear in bad times and out of greed in good times. And there was plenty of scope given up in the good times as well, of course, scope recapture in good times that was never attempted as the focus was always on "so and so plus" CBA's even and especially at the expense of scope.

Even if the 1113 excuse was 100% valid, which it isn't, it would be cancelled out and then some by the numerous "restoration" and "taking it back" and "summer of love" and "parity plus" and "choke the golden goose" contracts that passed by sizable margins in good times at all the legacy airlines. Outsourcing has now reached critical mass. Its time to start getting it back or there will be no lasting gains from our C12K or any other contract if all we are left with is fighting over the scraps we left ourselves while such a massive portion of our flying is being perpetually shopped to the lowest bidder.

It is my understanding that at the next MEC Meeting the Flight Pay Loss Committee will be taking input and giving recommendations.

Hope this helps......
That wasn't it, but when I went to double check I found the problem. For everyone else, check and make sure your [email protected] is set as your default calendar. You will have other calendars that you can select to be on the IPhone, but if you want it to sync back and forth make sure the default is set correctly. Don't know why that didn't happen when I sync-ed the new IPhone with ITunes........all the other settings seemed to come across fine.

My wife, who is on Verizon, is going to get an IPhone next month.......told her that was fine but she MUST GET a different cover than mine. I can just see rolling into base after the commute with her phone for a 12 day trip Last thing I want to do is talk to her pool boy..........and we don't have a pool

Can't find that mentioned in the contract. If true, then the VD will take the seniority of the very last person in the category, which doesn't make sense to me.

Reminds me of a story back in my active duty days. We had to show extremely early and unfortunately the mission was slipped 24 hours.

As I pulled into the parking lot early the next day, I parked next to our mission commander's truck (he was a LtCol). I could see that he was asleep inside. As I gathered my deployment bags etc, he woke up and slowly started to gather his stuff and exit his truck. He looked very tired as if he had a rough nights sleep. I asked him how long he'd been asleep there. He said to me, "I couldn't go home yesterday. I know the wife's boyfriend would be there and I'd rather not meet him." I said to him laughing, "You're kidding right?" He looked at me in a serious tone and said, "Does it look like I'm kidding?"

Good times.

Yes and No,

If you take a VD that will then displace another pilot or cause a surplus in another category you take the seniority of the person who you are saving from a MD. If the position is open and not a surplus you take your own seniority.

Just a minor point of order. I certainly hope our next contract doesn't become known as "C12K". Does that mean negotiations will drag out for 9,989 years? Yikes! I think I might be retired by then...
