Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

White slips get processed first, but I would think that you would want to Swap with the Pot if you have a conflicting trip.
The question is if you are trading from a 2 to 3 day or 3 to 4 day...there is a good chance it will go through. Trading down from a 3 to 2 day or a 4 to a 3 day...there has to be adequate reserves avail.
You can run it through the Rules Auditor under Swap with the Pot to see if the trip will be legal on your line (dropping and picking up)

Hey guys, quick question... I'm a "regular" pilot next month for the first time under the delta contract. There's a trip in open time I'd like to fly, but it conflicts with a couple of other trips on my schedule. Can I white slip for it, or do I have to try to drop the conflicting trips first? I'm going through the PCS guide, but I'll probably get the answer here first. Thanks
Another thing you might want to consider is putting in a blind swap request for any other trips you would like to fly. A trip doesn't have to be in open time in order to put a swap request in for it. And you never know if someone else will drop a trip you would want or swap out of it on the same PCS run. If they do, and you have the request in (and are legal for it), you will get it. I used to do that a lot when I was senior in the MD-88B category (large category with a lot of activity on PCS runs) and it was amazing how often I would get awarded these blind swap requests.
Good luck.

You would have to do that through Swap with the Pot. You won't be awarded a white slip if it conflicts with another trip(s). Like Racer said, you might want to check it with the Rules Auditor to make sure it's a legal swap. Also, it will depend on reserve coverage as to whether or not the swap will go through... and, of course, whether someone senior to you is awarded a white slip or swap for that same trip.

Thanks for the help... pretty junior, so it's unlikely I'll get the trip, but I just want to get the hang of the mechanics of the whole process. I've pretty much ignored all the 'Swap" discussions before this month as a reserve guy.

Hornet/Scoop,
When I click "download schedule" within Firefox I am not given the choice of downloading a file (ie. ical, etc). The only thing that happens is that I'm given a 4 digit PIN for icrewmax sync to my android. I can't figure out how to get my schedule into my google calander either.

Quick question. I'm going to school in early February making the dc9 to md88 transition. I got my training letter today and in the list of distance learning was a world wide ops thing. I didn't get any disc like that with my manuals, just systems/differences and the esv. I know I've heard of world wide operations somewhere, but where do I go to do the training? If it's on disc where do I get it? Did manual services just overlook sending it to me, or is it somewhere else? All good questions I would pose to the cpsc in the morning if I wasn't so sure someone here would have an answer for me in a matter of minutes

If I am in a category with reductions, but have more people below me than the number of reductions, how does that work? Can people being displaced from other categories that are senior to me bid over and bump me out?

Widebody Captain openings create a huge amount of movement in the company. Remember to bid what you want--even if there are no slots listed on the AE--you just might get it.
