Guys,
Are there any gyms or YMCAs near the Downtown ST Paul Hotel? Nice Hotel, Nice location, but the fitness center is a joke. Two treadmills, of which one works good, a broken Cybex nautilas type machine, dumbells but not a single exercise bench, oh yeah, and broken glass on the floor from a broken mirror where apparantly the duct tape repair did not cut it.
Is there a reason that we don't layover in downtown MSP anyway?
Scoop

Actually, there is, and its probably a 10 minute walk through the Skyway (you don't need to go outside) to find it. I'm trying to remeber the name of the building, but it's the one with Cray Computers located in it. From the hotel, sort of walk around the Skyway counter clockwise, and that's how I bumped into it.
Just follow the Skyway from the hotel until you come to that building. The Y is located on the Skyway level, behind the Cray offices.
Downtown Minne is probably another 15-20 minutes from the airport, at least, more in traffic. There's not much there that you can't find in STP.

On the MD90 note, the memo about the RFP for new aircraft said we've purchased 33 used MD90's. The only one's we've *officially* purchased that I'm aware of are the 3 from hello, and 13(?) from China eastern. Couple that with the 17 we already had means our EXISTING fleet is 33 airplanes.
So did someone do their math wrong in that memo, or did I miss the memo about us getting another 17 new/used MD90's?

I heard a nasty rumor that the MD88/90 mods are on hold. It appears the single galley in front of first class isn't cutting it. I was told too many first class passengers complained about all four FAs going back and forth past them to get to the only galley and trash bins.
Anyone hear the same?

I agree with you johnso29. It seems too many ideas are being made by the bean counters and not by people who would know what is best.
