GONE.. then maybe I'll be interested.

We had a PERP at DAL before. It was to get rid of the pre 72 guys if memory serves correctly. The only thing I DO remember about it is that they got the money, and were allowed to hang around until their replacements were trained.. care to guess how long that took??
T,

The PERP program for the pre-72 guys was in the 90's. It was supposed to be for 500 guys but the company let more than that take it. I believe it was something like 578 but am not sure. They did not hang around in the PRP program and get any money. I flew a couple of retirement trips with these guys.

The PRP (post-retirement pilot) program was a result of the exodus of guys prior to bankruptcy.

They really don't have to be drunk to be obnoxious...

Yeah I didn't remember all the particulars... I'm pretty sure that there were some of them that signed on to the program early, but didn't leave for quite awhile.... or at least it seemed that way... If I'm wrong it wouldn't be the first time... Anyway, thanks for the edification. I still wouldn't want to go down that road unless there was some sort of iron clad way to get them out the door.. and wordsmiths always can find a way around any contract language... it's what they do.

I'm glad we finally don't have to hear about Katrina and the dog killer anymore... Now if we can get rid of the Brady bunch it'll all be good.

Wow...Well, I guess I'll have to get up there to the sim after all, I was hoping for a foot or two and they would cancell my CQ on Tuesday!

Yeah, but the next thing they have to worry about is this.........

So, flew one of the few flights that arrived in ATL tonight after 10 PM. Would like to go home but bus to parking lot is no longer running due to cars out of control in the CC lot and snow/ice on CC pkwy. What a fine fix this is.

Ummmmm........................not good. Cab available? Probably can't get in, but can it at least drive you to the gate? IDK, I've never been to the ATL employee lot so if it's not feasible then just disregard.

Two of the employee buses collided, snagged em a taxi to boot! They collided just at the front gate so NO buses were running for well over an hour. People were taking the metro rail thingy that takes you to the rental car lot, and getting off at the hotel then walking the rest of the way to the parking lot. Once in the lot and ready to leave the same two smashed up buses restricted exiting traffic to a crawl ie 30+ minutes to get out of the lot itself....
Freaking MESS!!
