Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
And they wonder why DPA continues to get cards....

That's happened to me a few times over the last month. I restart my computer and try again, and it works fine. No idea why.

Leine,
Here is the issue. It is going to sound very delicious for the company to offer HUGE pay raises in exchange for Scope relief. Scope relief means less mainline jobs, thus Senior dudes might become junior or stagnate, while junior dudes get furloughed. But the main issue is, the company owes us BIG PAY RAISES IN EXCHANGE FOR NOTHING. The UNION needs to live this!
We already "gave" and sacrificed. Now we deserve our money back plus!
The Union needs to know that Bryan Bedford is going to "*****" out his product and "army" to secure flying for his "failing" entity. Our company is going to look at that Bedford "cheap" lift and salivate.
Also, negotiation was never meant to be easy. We gave away easily but to get it back we are going to have to WORK for it and not step backwards. Management will never give us anything for free so we are going to have to work hard and DEMAND what we are worth.
We can do this while providing excellent service to our clients, coworkers and company by being the professionals we are. This process is normal. However, Bedford style managers and pilot greed will be the thorn that breaks apart the process.
I have a hard time understanding, why Mainline flying needs to be outsourced. SWA doesnt outsource and look at their compensation and profits and culture.

Standard Pilot indoctrination stuff. Whoops, did I say Pilot indoctrination? I meant to say political re-education, just as DAL new hires have to resist being brainwashed into becoming Kool-aid drinkers (the instant, life-long, 100% effective, and totally irreversible cure being a furlough while DCI hires tons) but I digress.
SWA new-hire Pilots must surely also run this gauntlet of attempted neural re-wiring. If your buddy takes this stuff too seriously he apparently would be a good subject for the Jedi mind tricks - you know "These are not the droids you are looking for" etc.

Heyas,
RE: The recent lack of scope message.
You will NEVER see a message about scope come out of the MEC Officers. Never.
It's a betting game. "They" risk alienating what is soon to become the majority of ALPA members, versus another group saber rattling about bringing in a new union.
I'm thinking that they're betting right.

This is more like watching Wal-Mart lose customers to the local Hardware Store. You WANT to support your local business, and the guy that runs it is a really nice guy that means well, but they are only open from 10-5:30 and 10-1 on Saturday (closed Sunday). When you do go in, it takes them an hour to find what you need.
True be told, IMHO, the DPA went about things the wrong way, but hey, that's their call. Never challenge a man to his own game in his own house.
