BTW kudos to whomever started the "AE will be out on the 7th" rumor. I feel like a kid who wakes up on Christmas to find that Santa isn't coming. I was looking forward to a week's worth of 24/7 in-depth AE analysis. ![Big Grin](https://www.airlinepilotforums.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

And I can still smell the champagne from when Dougie pulled his offer....

All this talk of scope and more 70 / 76 seaters coming. How do you guys think COMAIR going away by half plays into that. Also the purchasing of more 90's and pulling 75 or bigger out of the desert?

I have a buddy that started on Jan. 5th, SWA's first new class in a long time and their network director passed on to them "IF I were Delta I'd be very sacred in Atlanta". Any thoughts??

I do not see how the company could terminate a pilot that is doing something that is allowed by the contract. Now if they put verbiage in the PWA that stated that once you traded a trip with friends it was there for good, and you could not pick it back up, that would take care of the issue.
And they would have to PAY for that too.... or at least they'd better have to.

Any way to research why you were not given a swap with pot. Put in to drop on the 9th and pick up on the 18th to increase sch for 3 hours. Both trips were denied. Called the CPSC and they said that there was adequte reserve coverage when I did not get the swap on the first try and said to try again. Seems like something is not quite right here. Also one of the trips went away before a sch run. How does that happen??

I think SWA is expecting us to roll over like UAL did in their home hub of DEN (I know they are ORD based). We compete well against SWA and our fares are very competitive. They have a great ad program and more than a few friends in the government to make their life easier. We will be wary but don't expect us to be frightened.
