The LAX guys are clueless. I didn't know what was happening until I saw the blurb today. The LAX ground guys don't give a ---- normally, this'll be interesting.

For all our sakes, I hope it's not the DTW guys doing the training.

We've always wondered, if we sent the NRT guys to DTW would they fix Detroit or just go home and screw up Japan

I took offense to how "Buzzpat" threw that comment out out of nowhere. It doesn't matter if I'm Mexican or not. I'm actually african american. What does getting a medical have to do with illegals? Again, they are here to stay no matter how much you little guys wanna complain. And they or I will not leave "Cali". There are bigger fish to fry but you white conservatives always want to point the finger at "Illegals" as the root of all the problems. Try getting your wife to do the jobs they do.......
For someone who is African-American you seem to be insensitive to the race of other people. Calling someone a "White Conservative" is equally as offensive as calling someone a "Black Democrat".

And for the record, I'm a Caucasian American, not White, and my political views are not genetically pre-disposed on the basis of my skin color.

Ferd

ACL had to head out of town for family stuff... I had to take our CPZ buddy back to the airport and then head home. We're working on closing on our new house so I was immediately back to working on that as soon as I left the meeting.

We had a good turnout. The resolution is a bit weaker in form from the original, but it passed despite the LEC not being in support of it. I think that speaks volumes.

There is ALOT of education and mindset changing to be done with many of the pilots and the union especially.

That's the one! That was a fine piece of equipment down there in the corner. I still remember cussing while getting a prop overspeed with asymetrical flaps at the same time. They weren't afraid of multiple failures in that program. Boy those were some fun nights in that piece of crap. My sim partner of those days long past isn't at Delta so I probably wasn't your sim partner.

How do you know that I'm "white" or "conservative"? Or that I'm even married? Seems to me that you're the one pointing the fingers without merit. Are you prejudiced? Or bigoted? You don't know me...you're guessing. And THAT'S the root of most problems. If you ARE a minority, you could identify with that. You are out of line.

How about the prop failed to feather. Those were fun. Postive Rate, Gear Up.... we're dead. That was quick. And oh yes... Coex training. you're in a left steep turn and they give you a left engine fire and shutdown... but maintain +/- 100'. My favorite was a friend who failed a 120 PIC type in the sim because he didn't notice the engine failure in the descent until he added power, BUT, they said we're going to go ahead and let him continue to aircraft training because he had done so well, but here is your pink slip. So you failed passed.

The funniest thing about the 120 was flying all those dive and drive mandatory step downs on the ILS into IAH and in the real airplane I found that it was easiest to descend and level off and descend again by just pulling one engine to idle and leaving the other at cruise so it stayed coordinated and you didn't have to mess with the rudder trim. That airplane was just not right, but it looked good from outside.

Thanks for being there, your input, support and voting.

I appreciate the other guys who showed up and voted as well, with only a seven vote difference (24/17) at that late hour, every single voter was important.

Also, the LEC allowing a fair hearing, despite the fact they were against this resolution, speaks to their professionalism and execution of the duties of their office. They did their job and want what is best for our pilot group.
