Recently I had a fairly long flight and there were 12 pax that were connecting to ours. Their aircraft (DAL mainline) had landed and the jet was at the gate deplaning. Ramp was telling our agent to close the door and push. The pax would get to their destination the next day (18 hours later).

We worked together, waited for the pax, and got everybody to their destination on time. So to me it was a win-win. I'll take a hit in D-0 when we get there on time (more important statistic in my book) and take care of our customers.

You know them. They're the ones that pay our salary.

Merry Christmas Everybody!

I really wish we'd go to a system that makes the "departure time" be the time that the gate/jetway door closes, NOT when we are turning on the beacon and closing the MCD.

It would alleviate the problem of how "early" the agent closes up. The door from the terminal shuts at the departure time. Easier for the customer to understand.

Ferd, you and Dwight remind me of each other, the hat, the guitar case, the I just got kicked out my house again look, the why would you sit like that position and lastly, the angry vain...

FTB.............as usual, perfect

But, you have Dwight's and mine's vain confused for why we "got the boot". It was due to that da#% Blue Vane. For a free drink in The Godfather, name the book.

Ok, too obscure. Read this back in my cop days. Book good, movie very bad (and not in a good way).

OK, this has been about 4 posts now and I can't stand it. What is sticking out of Ferd's neck is a VEIN not a VAIN. Now some might think that Ferd is VAIN because of the women that surround him, or the way NewK poses after showers, but VAIN's don't stick out of your neck.

We're all in big trouble when a failed greenskeeper has to correct grammar.

Carl,

You know us Southie only use checklists as a "guide"for the operation! We hate to get tied down by published procedures. Just doing it the way (Capt's way) we've always done it. If that coincides with the actual procedure, then muy bueno! TIC

I will say I was confused, but that album cover says vain too? Maybe thats like one of those country music things "here in the real world" vs "reel world"?

I thought it was vein but then maybe its just like the word gray, or grey, how do you spell that color that's halway between black and white?

I'm so utterly confused and upset.

Personally, don't really mind the fDAL vs. fNWA back-and-forths, takes a little pressure off the Dal New York Crews for once.
Why do you think DALN is associated with fNWA?
As a Southie flying up North now, I have made a few observations about the differences between the 2 pilot groups. Don't want to create any bad blood and am not saying which "way" is better, just that there are lots of differences in how each group did things premerger. I am using lots of little techniques North guys use as part of my ops now. Just getting back to this site after many months so I have probably missed all the discussion about "differences" Suffice it to say (for now) that there are/were many, both big and small. Flying to Paris a lot and what do the frogs say,"vive la difference"

Frats,
