80 and sunny here in LA today. Though I did take my kids ice skating at an outdoor ice thingy supposed to evoke the Christmas spirit. It was hysterical to see all of the surfer/skater boyz trying to do the Nordic thing.

Apparently, the truck that goes onto the runway to determine friction numbers got stuck in snow. That is when they closed the airport.

Goodtimes.

Above 40 is good. Anything in the 30's, start paying attention. And in the IN the 20's and teens, yuck is right.

Can't imagine how he could have that opinion. I've been on the 747 fleet since 1997. The different color groups get along great and have for a number of years now.

The seniority list merged in 1989 if memory serves. Green book guys got on the 747 on the very first bid and have ever since. That's been 21 years. I sure wouldn't consider that "just getting on the 747."

Again, totally false. Almost all of the red book pilots are already on the airplane. The ones that aren't are senior enough, but they prefer the A330 and/or the 757. Therefore, there's nobody for them to block. The green book guys that are flying the 747 past retirement are doing so for the same reason that others do it. They love the airplane and they love the flying.

No need to be concerned about anybody working for spite. It's simply not the case.

If you can't make it, you can't make it. Just show that you did a serious effort, was way early, had numerous back up plans, and you will be OK. Lots of 23K's sitting around after a storm like this....

If any of you want to go to the Rose Bowl, get your tickets out there. They release a lot of tickets to the locals so there will be scalpers practically giving tickets away before the game. I am speaking from experience. I went a few years ago for 5 bucks. Face value on the ticket was over $100. Most people in the L.A. area do not want to see Wisconsin play TCU.

If you don't have your bids in yet good luck. PBS is down with no resolution in sight.
