You are a funny guy. Just make sure to stick the posts on the back of the wings that go on the shirt. If not you will remember to you forgot it quite quickly.

I think the fNW guys on trips during the uni change should coordinate so the FOs wear their old ones (w/no hat) and the Capts wear the new ones (yes, sporting the hat). It wouldn't any more confusing then the 3 paint jobs we have and it would be a great conversation starter. I'm just putting my sub commander on to go down to the mall and see if the new wings work better on the chicks then the old ones.

Man I had an FO go to a Hooters like that. When I got there I kicked is six so hard. I basically threw him out of the restaurant.

FWIW, do not get offended if they ask you to go fetch their car or carry their bags

Ok. Hats done. Sick call avoided. (Just one small, tiny hole in the right index finger.)

Now the jacket. I assume the wings with the one piece straight pin goes on the jacket. On the lappel of the pocket or above it?

I have no clue. Some guys wear pins some wear the ones with the tacks.
Normally you have two of either one. I have no idea why they did it this way.

I do have an extra CA wings though.

Here is what I found....

How does the name tag and wing secure to the uniform shirt?

There are two types of wings, a pin-back version that is typically worn on the shirt and post-style that is worn on the jacket. The shirts have eyelets or a reinforced area above the shirt pocket to secure the name tag and wings.

..... I thought it was lost forever but, NWA guys/gals can still find the uniform "brief" on the second to last posting under the "What's New" section in ATLAS.

I know it's early but, I know if I don't put my stuff on now, it will be lost forever.

Hey look on-line in our FOM there is a nice little section on how exactly you will wear the uniform. I love it.

(It is on the DAL net)

Wow. I looked at the FOM section. You guys are hard core. I don't know if I'm ready. No slouching. Ok. Have they seen some of our -400 crews after getting in from NRT/NGO/KIX?

(No offense, Carl)

Its a lot of our military heritage New. I have to say, as much as I hate the hat and the jacket, when you see our guys/gals wearing the uni, it looks pretty good (as compared to the more casual look). As most airlines are moving away from tradition, the new DAL is moving forward with it. Again, I think it makes us even more unique (in spite of the discomfort).
